Netflix has revealed the first teaser for "Ripley" starring Andrew Scott
Netflix has revealed the debut teaser for the series "Ripley", a new adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's novels about con man Tom Ripley. His role played by Andrew Scott.
The action of the show develops in the 1960s. In the story, Tom Ripley is living in New York, when he is contacted by a rich man. He hires Tom to go to Italy, find his son Dickie Greenleaf and convince him to come home. Ripley agrees, and this becomes his first step into a complicated life of deceit, fraud and murder.
Along with Scott, the project stars Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn, and is written and directed by Oscar-winning Steven Zaillian, the screenwriter of "Schindler's List", "Gangs of New York", and "Moneyball".
The series will have eight episodes and will be released on Netflix on April 4.
