Joey King and Logan Lerman escape the Nazis in the trailer for the series "We Were the Lucky Ones"

Hulu has unveiled the trailer for the new mini-series "We Were the Lucky Ones", an adaptation of Georgia Hunter's novel of the same name.

The series, inspired by a true story, will tell the story of a Jewish family separated at the beginning of World War II and determined to survive and reunite. The project will show the strength of the human spirit, which was able to withstand during the darkest period of the twentieth century.

The main roles in the series are played by Joey King and Logan Lerman, and the scriptwriter and showrunner of the drama was Erica Lipez ("Julia", "The Morning Show"). The first three episodes will air on Hulu on March 28, and the series will be released once a week thereafter.
