Hulu has shut down the detective show "Death and Other Details"
Hulu closed the detective drama "Death and Other Details": the series, starring Mandy Patinkin, lasted one season.
The project from Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams — the authors of "Stumptown" — premiered in January 2024. The series was met coolly: critics found it uneven and too overloaded. In the end, the detective received 55% "fresh" from critics and 66% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series was about Imogene Scott, who goes on a Mediterranean cruise with a friend on a huge liner. When the trip is interrupted by the death of one of the travelers, the restless Imogene, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, becomes the prime suspect. To prove her innocence, the girl will have to work with someone she despises — Rufus Cotesworth, the world's greatest detective.

Hardly the second season would have been stronger than the first.
