Stephen Amell will star in the "Suits" spin-off
Stephen Amell, known for the series "Arrow" and "Heels", will play the lead role in the upcoming spin-off of "Suits" from NBC. Shooting of the new project, subtitled "L.A.", will begin in late March.
The series will tell the story of Ted Black — a former federal prosecutor from New York, who moved west and became a private attorney for the rich and powerful residents of Los Angeles. But now his firm is in crisis, and to survive, Ted will have to become the man he's always despised.
Ted Black, who will play Amell, is described as a charismatic man who puts his own needs above others. 15 years ago, he and his old pal Stuart Lane created a law firm in Los Angeles specializing in criminal entertainment law.
The spin-off is being developed by Aaron Korsh, showrunner and writer of the original "Suits", and the pilot will be directed by Victoria Mahoney ("The Morning Show").
