Ewan McGregor is sentenced to life imprisonment in a hotel: the trailer of the series "A Gentleman in Moscow" was released
Showtime showed the trailer of the series "A Gentleman in Moscow", the main roles in which Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
McGregor plays Count Alexander Rostov. After the revolution, the aristocrat Rostov is court-martialed, but he manages to avoid being shot. Instead, he is sent to the attic room of the luxurious Metropol Hotel, which he is not allowed to leave until his death.
Years pass. Behind the doors of the hotel unfold one of the most terrible decades of Russian history, and in the meantime Count Rostov is trying to build a new life within the walls of the "Metropol".
"A Gentleman in Moscow" is filmed on the best-selling novel of the same name by Amor Towles. The post of showrunner took Ben Vanstone — screenwriter of the series "All Creatures Great and Small" and "Merlin", and produce screen McGregor and Amor Towles himself.
The series will premiere on March 29. It will have a total of eight episodes.
