"Stand by Me"
Criminal, drama | 4.33 out of 5 on MyShows | 1986
A soulful and nostalgic movie based on Stephen King's "The Body". The movie is set in the hot summer of 1959 in Castle Rock, Oregon. 12-year-old Gordie and three of his friends learn about the reward, which is promised to the one who finds the body of a missing boy who disappeared a few days ago. The boys head into the woods to search and along the way learn a lot about friendship and themselves.
"'I never had the kind of friends I had when I was 12 years old.'" The ending of the movie brought me to tears. It's always like that. Unfortunately friends are lost after middle school. Everyone gets new ones, but not everyone remembers the old ones, with whom they always spent time, got into different situations, which are remembered to this day with a sad smile on their face. And only with time you realize that something time was the best in your life. A time that can't be taken back", — SoOGooD.

He takes Scotty under his wing, and soon he becomes part of the company of Benny's friends, together with whom he constantly gets into various troubles.
"A touching story about little kids who become friends and play baseball. I really enjoyed it and the voiceover narration is just magical. At the end, honestly, there was such a lump in my throat, I almost wept. Surprised by the movie. The movie is about true friendship, kindness, about the relationship between the guys, that grain of effulgence, which is lacking now young people", — fb1313417.

" The playground" is on a par with "Stay with Me" is worth it, so thank you so much for including this film here, as well as, in fact, for the selection as a whole)
On the subject of the story of growing up, I would add here another "Running on the spot" and "Stupid Bet" (also with River Phoenix), "Now and then" 1995., "Outcasts", "Man on the Moon " (with Reese Witherspoon), "Stand Up and Make", "Medicine " (with Brad Renfro), "This Guy's Life" (with Leonardo DiCaprio), the same "Dead Poets Society", "Kingdom of the Full Moon"...
It seems to me that "What gnaws at Gilbert Grape" also applies to this topic. Although Johnny Depp's character in the film is not a teenager, but still)
And from the series, I immediately remembered the Wonderful years.
