More mysteries and murders: the trailer of the second season of the animated series "Velma" was released

Max has released a trailer of the second season of the animated series "Velma", which is set in the "Scooby-Doo" universe.

The project tells about the adventures of 15-year-old Velma Dinkley (Mindy Kaling) and her friends before the official foundation of the corporation "Mystery" — at a time when they were still in school.

In the first season, Velma, who turned out to be the prime suspect in a murder, tried to solve the crime on her own. In the new episodes, the town will be seized by an even more eerie mystery, and Velma will have to find a balance between the investigation and personal life, which is becoming more and more exciting because of the newfound popularity.

The project is being created by Charlie Grandy, the writer of the TV series "Guys with Kids" and "The Office". The first season of the show was released in January 2023 and was met extremely negatively: its rating on Rotten Tomatoes was 39%. Users liked the project even less — only 7%.

To find out whether Grandy was able to correct the mistakes of the first part, it will be possible to April 25: on this day on Max will be released all ten episodes of the second season.
