Christmas. A blood sister has to fly to a prestigious art school on a scholarship, and gg and his physical education teacher have a Christmas date, where they would finally move on to a new level of relationship. But gg sees a gift-a painting from his blood sister, and now he can draw! Instead of dating a woman who is head over heels in love with him and seems to care about him, he sits and draws a gift to his younger blood sister. The whole damn night. Then he rushes to the airport as fast as he can to give it to her. He overcomes a lot of obstacles: a stopped train in the subway, a traffic jam on the road, and a small amount of time. And along the way, he doesn't even try to contact that very woman to explain himself in any way. All she gets is "I'm sorry. I can draw again." In the end, he made it. Thanks to the gift, the blood sister is not flying anywhere. Why do I emphasize the word BLOODLINE? Because damn it, at the very end of the final episode, they're sitting together with a blanket over them, naked. Most likely after intercourse, but probably before. Or maybe between them, who knows. As a result, someone responsible for the plot realized his fetish, and I got a burning ass. And it's still burning the same way it was a couple of months ago. I would have understood and accepted this ending if it had been brought to it throughout the plot, but throughout all episodes, except for the penultimate and last episode, the love chemistry was between gg and the teacher, not the sister. I watched a lot of anime where gg eventually chooses his sister as his lover, but usually they were somehow led to this, and usually their relationship was at least cousin to cousin or relatives from the thirty-third generation through the great-grandmother of a second cousin. In general, what is this canvas for? Don't watch this. It's not worth it. Even the school days with their controversial film adaptation are not so bad. Choose something more worthy if you decide to watch anime from the noughties.
The worst ending I've ever seen. Truth. I've watched a lot of anime over the last 2-2.5 months. There were great plots and average endings, not very good plots with a good ending, there were even disgusting plots, but with an ending that, at this level of performance, was natural, like "dying duck with music." But the Canvas surpassed everyone. I chose the most terrible combination: a good plot, but with an ending so bad that calling it terrible would be praise, not criticism. Further spoilers. The main character helps his brilliant sister adapt to the team - everything is OK here, a good, albeit standard plot. Actually, why not, blood relatives should help each other. A new physical education teacher is being transferred to the academy, with whom GG has a slightly strained relationship due to the fact that he once rejected her. And he sent her away because he believed that by doing so he was helping a more talented friend with his personal life, because "She will be happier with him," which shows gg to be a little narrow-minded. After that, they sort of establish a relationship and begin to get closer romantically. It's also kind of standard and much more clichéd, but then again, why not? Everything looks very good and there doesn't seem to be any special stupidities to make your teeth grind. Everything is within the normal range. A talented friend of gg, who passed off his friend's idea as his own and thereby paved the way for famous artists. At the same time, he was tormented by conscience and wanted to ask for forgiveness. Gg can't draw because he just can't (well, inspiration doesn't come, no matter how you grimace), that's why he only works as a teacher. Actually, he blamed this friend for his art block, but then they reconciled and there seemed to be no problem. Yes, that moment was dumb, and I despised my rat friend for the rest of the season. Well, there's a bunch of unimportant events. and we come to the strawberry.
