Overview

Kippei is a ladies man. Always in trouble for flirting in class, after class, anytime he can. So it is some big surprise to him when he gets saddled with watching Yuzuyu, a cute little girl. Yuzuyu`s mother has gone missing, and so Kippei`s family is watching her until her mother can be found. Of course, since Kippei could use a few lessons in responsibility, he is the "best" choice for the job. This story is working out to be very cute. Kippei`s natural "mother" instinct is really brought to the front while trying to to his best for Yuzuyu, but he is a boy. His ineptitude regarding the smallest things a mother would need to know [like packing a lunch for school] are endearing rather than hokey, and the character of Yuzuyu is cute, without being overly so.

The reason for viewing: I wanted romance, I went to search the hard drive alphabetically
The narration is very long, it's clear that they're dragging their feet to meet a certain screen time. The characters are just as "drawn out" - mentally detached. But it doesn't really spoil the impression. You're sitting and enjoying yourself as a very handsome (and, as it should be, very spoiled by this beauty) guy looks after a small (and as a result incredibly shy) girl. The guy gropes the girls, they stick to him, the girl asks for her mom. Oh, gods, thank you! There is no stereotypical harem, stupid flat jokes and a herd of ridiculous secondary friends. Everything is natural and pleasing to the eye (except that it is very slow). It's clear from the opening that GG is seriously messing with a classmate, and it turned out beautifully, romantically, there was even a moment where I burst into tears. But the center of the plot was not the relationship at all, but the topic of domestic violence.… Anime is mostly about why we fight with our parents, why we don't understand each other, and what we need to do to become happy.
I'm very happy with the viewing, it's a pity it was delayed and I didn't like the music at all (and all of it: opening, ending, musical themes), but it's an interesting plot, still it's more important to me.

I like that this is not just an anime about a handsome man who raises a cousin, but there is also a place for such topics, which is very important for both adults and children.
