Overview

Nostalgia Critic is a comedy webseries created, written, edited by, and starring Chicago native Doug Walker. The series initially launched on YouTube in 2007 before moving to independent sites That Guy with the Glasses and Blip.tv. The show follows the titular Nostalgia Critic, a bitter and sarcastic film critic, as he reviews movies and television shows from his childhood and recent past, usually with comically exaggerated rage. The show often alternates the Critic's angry rants and juvenile humor with legitimate analysis of the episode's subject.

Walker briefly retired the series at the end of 2012 to work on other projects, even writing the character out of existence in the Channel Awesome film To Boldly Flee. However, on January 22, 2013, Walker announced the show's imminent return in a narrative video called "The Review Must Go On". The more sketch-heavy sixth season began on February 5, 2013 with a review of the film The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

Are you serious? Personally, I completely agree with the Critic on this picture.

@Kostyurik: How specific must one's tastes be in order to consider Pebbles ugly?

One of the funniest and most interesting series of Critics in recent times. A selection of ads for 11/10.

I will mention the incident with Noyd, which the Critic did not mention or did not know about - the mentally ill Kenneth Lamar Noyd was sure that the advertisement was talking about him and everyone around him was mocking him (judge for yourself- the slogan was "Avoid Noyd!"), so he took Domino Pizza employees hostage and demanded pizza, 100,000 dollars and the book "Widow's Son". Fortunately, no one was injured, but he later could not cope with depression and committed suicide. After this hostage situation, Noyd's popularity waned, but fan art and games are still dedicated to him.
I could have made a mistake in a couple of things, but who cares, it's all easy to Google and there are videos on this topic on YouTube.

Awesome issue came out! =) NK reminded me of all the cool and not-so-cool series that I was lucky enough to get to know up close and briefly, which stirred up a wave of pleasant memories (I have that for sure); gave a couple of fresh comments about already reviewed shows (Cartoon Maniacs, Batman) and reviewed previously unknown ones that it would be interesting to get acquainted with. It's also cool that he mentioned WB kids with his TV series package, and his otaku friends joined the narrative and didn't let him shit on the Americanized Japanese TV series he hated... In general, I loved Fox Kids, I loved many shows, and the release came out really kind and nostalgic.
