The hero of this series for me is definitely Marnie. As much as she seemed empty and ridiculous to me when she first appeared in the frame, I admire her so much now. In a way, she's even cooler than Bel. To endure so much outright shit from Hector, without ceasing to love him, to endure all his mistresses and piggish behavior, and not just not to bend down alone in four walls, but to find the strength to change your life, to do something for yourself, to go beyond the conservative upbringing, to claim your rights to something more than a "small corner in the living room"!.. Marnie deserves respect more than anyone. I don't know how things will turn out next, but I feel for her now.
