Overview
CROWNIES follows five young solicitors as they face the pressures and endearing madness of modern single life - in a fast paced workplace that highlights the moral dilemmas and big issues facing an apparently civilized society.
In a world that exists solely to see ‘wrong-doers' brought to justice, and where the average age of the solicitors is 27, there is a big divide between these young solicitors and the barristers at the top. Yet they are the initial point of contact with the police, and it is they who do most of the liaising with the victims and the witnesses - and recommend what goes to court.
They are committed, idealistic and hard-working, but their lives away from the office are filled with aspirations, explorations, fragile relationships and partying.

Excellent plot and script. The authors were not afraid to mix several mini-stories at once, connected by common characters and a theme. A good and energetic vinaigrette awaits the viewer: nocturnal accidents and parties; moral dilemmas, ambiguous cases and situations, imperfect laws and procedures; nagging judges, teasing colleagues and lecturing the senior clerk; victims causing sympathy, irritation, circumstances that are funny, tragic; personal and domestic problems and interdepartmental conflicts; collision a heightened sense of injustice, the enthusiasm and idealism of youth with the pragmatic cynicism of experience. The seething confusion of frequent jumps from one line to another not only helps to convey the atmosphere and rhythm of the characters' lives, but also allows you to simultaneously show the characters and individual stories of each of them.
All this is mounted at a fairly fast pace, the viewer is not only bored, they almost do not allow them to relax. The production is well thought out and very high-quality, the mise en scene and dialogues are spectacular and expressive, and at the same time quite realistic. They play well. The young performers, like their characters, were able to create an excellent ensemble. The elderly did not disappoint either. Almost all characters are multidimensional and non-static.
It turned out to be a very dynamic, lively, versatile and rich series with a variety of interesting stories and bright and cute (Well, very cute. These prosecutors are all beauties!) heroes. Much better than my expectations, a pleasant surprise. I confidently recommend it to fans of TV series on judicial topics.
Language. They talk a lot, of course, sometimes quite quickly, sometimes difficult. Quite clearly, without terrible accents, but there is enough slang and terminology. Subtitles, in my opinion, will be very useful.
