Oh, how I liked Tarabas when I was a kid and how I wanted him and Fantagiro to be together. Romualdo, of course, is handsome, but he is far from Tarabas.
My favorite childhood fairy tale. Now I've reviewed and remembered some moments, it's just nostalgia. All the parts are good in their own way. But here are 5, why it was necessary to take it off, it is beyond comprehension. Rather, the last 30 minutes of this story are incomprehensible. What the director was trying to say is probably known only to himself. Because few people appreciated this simply Unjustified act of Fantagiro. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a series. I don't know how I appreciated all this when I was a child, and how today's children can appreciate it, I'm even afraid to fantasize, it's probably better for them not to see this part. Overall, very pleasant emotions (in other parts). And the last one had to be lost, as some of the series that were shown on TV at that time were lost.
Despite the interesting idea of a revived meal, an impressive opponent, and still excellent scenery, an attempt to gently restart the story of Fantagiro (without Rossi Stewart (Romualdo) abandoning the previous part) in the new world was unsuccessful, mostly literally due to the last scene where Fantagiro refuses to attempt to return to his world. According to the Italian Wiki, two more films were planned, the last of which would have brought Fantagiro home, but due to the extremely low ratings of the 5th part, this was not destined to happen, for better or worse.
You can watch the first 4 parts, but the fifth one leaves a bitter aftertaste because of the open ending!
@Imperators: It turns out that in a sense, the fans themselves are to blame for spoiling their raspberries by refusing to accept the fifth story, affecting the ratings, which forced the authors to abandon the sixth and not complete the narrative with a logical return home. And now fans will forever suffer from this ending, no matter how sad it is)
Although neither then nor now does the fifth story seem to me as bad as many viewers perceive it to be. I always believed that Fantagiro stayed with Ares in that world only because she unknowingly considered it impossible to return, and the erased memories weakened her feelings for Romualdo for a while until they fully "recovered" in the sixth story. With such a subtext, the ending is somehow easier to perceive)
