Brunette DI Kate Ashurst and blonde DS Emma Scribbins were lucky - they serve, albeit not in a luxurious, but in a very decent suburb. Good houses, charity, parties - the inhabitants are fine, only rare problems like finding a babysitter for a dog or putting a child in a better school. But beauty is deceptive. Violent deaths happen all the time, and almost every decent local resident hides an unexpected secret, which seriously hinders the investigation and makes it difficult to find suspects and their motives. Detective divas, however, successfully make their way through thick alien mysteries and expose the killer, because they are observant and insightful.
The series turned out to be girly. The main characters only talk about men, including their young and interesting boss, and the town itself is full of adultery. An excessive amount of time is devoted to relationships and their discussions. It was filmed satisfactorily, but the acting is mediocre, the blonde sometimes overdoes it with the simpleton. Despite the acceptable editing, really good detective stories and sometimes humor, the overall impression is quite average. An easy, walk-through series with no pretensions.
The language is also average, I didn't notice any complex slang or heavy accent, but sometimes they speak quite quickly and pronounce carelessly. Subtitles would be nice.
