The Avengers

I absolutely cannot seriously evaluate this series. He's too frivolous himself. Accordingly, there is no way to take what is happening on the screen seriously. Side effects of the era may be of practical interest. Fashion (and the costumes of the main characters are very good), fears and stereotypes of society, some everyday details of the real world that accidentally got into this artificial world.

Beautiful stylish agent heroes defeat numerous insidious villains, all this elegantly, without any blood (not like dismemberment!), but with an abundance of all sorts of fantastic super inventions. It would seem wonderful, but all this is done so naively-cardboard that it looks like a parody, if not of himself, then at least of the future Bond.

In general, when watching even the best episodes (and these, in my opinion, are the seasons with Diana Rigg) of this series, which is certainly significant for the development of television production, despite the incomparable main character, the abundance of humor, irony and English self-irony, it was sometimes a bit boring. Well, fans of all things English should really like it.
