Funny and entertaining, exciting and often risky adventures of a small, very talented and slightly crooked antique dealer and his friends, companions and competitors in the East of England.

The basis of the series is a bright and special main character. Experienced, knowledgeable, resourceful and enterprising, with an almost supernatural ability to recognize authentic artifacts and distinguish real works of art from fakes and forgeries, he nevertheless did not make a fortune, but gained a reputation. Frivolous, not blooming, but also cheerful, cunning and crooked, but not unscrupulous, competent and insightful, but frivolous and disorganized, witty and charismatic, he certainly attracts the sympathy of most viewers.

It was shot simply, the editing was not fast, the mise-en-scene and the characters were a bit deliberate, which, however, is quite natural for a light funny comedy. They also play in full accordance with the genre. I'll mention the stories themselves separately, which made me very happy. Rich collectors and scammers, respectable auctions and crooks, shops and dealers, beetles and dealers, paintings and silverware, furniture and porcelain. And it's actually interesting in itself, plus all sorts of intrigues, treasures, unexpected turns, cunning rivals, annoying police, and in the last season, just real action was added!

It turned out to be a very multi-part, kind-hearted entertaining, wonderful adventurous and comedic telepicaresque. I watched it with great pleasure and even regretted when it ended.

Language. They speak well, vividly, often quickly, but more or less intelligibly. Nevertheless, I recommend subtitles, there are all sorts of words and terms, and some fleeting characters have a terrible accent, in addition, there are enough non-trivial allusions and jokes based on wordplay.

What a wonderful series! Excellent acting: Ian McShane, Phyllis Logan. They are often filmed and it is so interesting to look at them young. It's a pity that we've only translated 2 seasons and parts of the third. I would love to watch all the seasons, especially since the quality of filming has improved markedly over the years.

In my opinion, the scriptwriters could have come up with something else without forcing Tinker to frame his friend like that. He's not like that after all... And this season is much more lively, it's just a solid action))

And the series is great, a very good adventurous and roguish comedy. Light, pleasant, entertaining, without any deep tragedy or drama. I wish there were more of them.
