Sooooo, it's just unreasonably long. 16 episodes is too much for such a plot. Most of all, I didn't like the lines of the rich. They talk about such people, they get mad with fat. Well, if you get an education, try to branch out from your family, but no, it's easier to go with the flow and always shed tears. It's a nightmare.
In general, I got hooked on this drama because of the screenwriter Kim Ki Ho, whose pen belongs to the scripts for the cult drama The Star of My Soul (1997), as well as Memories of Bali (2004) and the ambiguous dramaThe King of Fashion (2012). I have completely different impressions from each of the three, but I can't say anything bad about any of them, but it turned out differently here.
Since "Towards the sunlight" chronologically closer to the "Star...", it was expected to see something similar: naive, but life-affirming, but it turned out to be tedious and depressing in the end.)) So the screenwriter is well done, of course, tried himself in different genres and subjects, but this work is past me.
I put 2 out of 5 or 4 out of 10 points.
