absolutely amazing series! I looked almost enthusiastically. The first episode may not be as interesting, but the others are just great. I seem to be familiar with the history of Rome, but I was still very worried about the characters from time to time.)

Augustus looks more like a rural innkeeper than the ruler of an empire.
Most of the actors are significantly older than their characters here. Obviously, because the series has been taking place for several decades, and one has to resort to theatrical conventions.
