One of them is the choice of a place in the saloon: if before that he ALWAYS sat in a corner facing the door to see the threat (and at this point they even seemed to focus attention), then this time he specifically sat at the nearest table with his back to the entrance... Although the place in the corner was free.

Well, if you carefully review the scenes where he last gathers, it becomes clear what he's up to.
