Overview

In the year 2075, mankind has reached a point where journeying between Earth, the moon and the space stations is part of daily life. However, the progression of technology in space has also resulted in the problem of the space debris, which can cause excessive and even catastrophic damage to spacecrafts and equipment. This is the story of Technora's Debris Collecting section, its EVA worker, Hachirota "Hachimaki" Hoshino, and the newcomer to the group, Ai Tanabe.

"For what? Why do we need all this?
After all, you can't see any boundaries from here. There is only Earth..."

The picture upset me, the first series was very difficult. But just now I looked – 2003! 12 years have passed, today the cheapest anime graphically looks better than the most expensive movie of the early noughties. So the pencil outline and blurry silhouettes in the background are still good. In any case, the technique was drawn nicely, it's not floating textures from the fur of the 90s)) Probably, by the fifth episode, I stopped noticing the rudeness of the drawing at all and completely went into the plot.

I really love fiction, politics and naturalistic relationships. They gave me everything. We are facing a not very distant future, where space is polluted with garbage so that, gaining high orbital speed, it crashes into ships with passengers flying from Earth to the Moon or back, which naturally leads to very unpleasant consequences. In the center of the narrative is the department of scavengers, and then questions of the prestige of the work are immediately raised. What is it like to be, even if it is cosmic, but a janitor? To know that it is almost impossible for you to build a career without saving money for your own ship? And when a really worthwhile offer turns up, other stumbling blocks immediately turn up, which to choose: obedience to the authorities or pride? After all, a career or a relationship? How to find a middle ground, satisfy everyone, and most importantly yourself? I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the love lines in the series, they were not school-like as usual, everything is so adult and very vital.
Moreover, all these personal social issues were solved right in the middle of outer space, with beautiful views of the Earth or the lunar surface. Among other things, there was the policy I outlined above – the problems of resource dependence and finding them outside the Earth, terrorism and capitalism, pressure on third world countries from the powerful.

@platina_vi: And how the picture was on top. Everything you need is drawn. It's atmospheric and nostalgic - in this scenario, you can't ask for more.. In modern times, sometimes there's nothing to look at - listen to yourself and that's it.
It is admirable, everything is incredibly beautiful: characters, workplaces, and space. Detail, realism, beauty - these are the parameters by which this work bypasses the new products currently being produced.
