I watched this series after reading the book.
I plan to watch a movie (I'm getting ready to digress from the book. Oh...).

And in this series, I liked Charles' change both externally and internally. How the facial lines become clearer with age.
And that phrase is, "I'm an old man. Without a son, without a home."He had happy days with this family, but maybe he should have listened to Anthony's advice to stay away from the Flight family.

Should I watch the series or not? Definitely- watch. It is about love and dislike, about friendship, about the nature of the emergence and development of alcoholism in humans, about the place and importance of religion in human life, and much more. I was touched and touched by this series.

I looked at the book. The production is almost verbatim.

It's a wonderful series-slow, sad, and deep.

This is a very beautiful and unhurried, typical British TV series, starring the inimitable Jeremy Irons. I haven't read the book, but as I understand it, it's a masterpiece, judging by the voiceover remarks of the main character. I'm really looking forward to a romantic intrigue, although even without it, everything in this piece of art is beautiful to the point of impossibility!
