The cast is excellent, but the series is clearly not for everyone..

It's a rare nuisance, although the actors
and these dialogues are impossibly long and meaningful, the characters
only evoke emotions about a sick guy.
I don't understand a damn thing. they only catch glitches or the wife really went into the cold xD pamagiti

It's a very complex series, specific, religious and philosophical. It attracts and repels at the same time. An interesting experience.

When I found out that Meryl Streep was playing several roles here, I wasn't particularly surprised, but when I read that she was playing Ravinna, I was shocked. I adore this actress, she was so well made up and she played the old Jew so perfectly that there is no doubt about her talent. Wow, I love it when actors play non-standard roles.

A very, very good satire on Reagan's America, with all his advocacy of communism, the image of the ideal American, the rise of the economy and complete disregard for the problems of AIDS.

I love religious themes in movies, TV series, and books, but here, for my pure taste, they are sometimes served very head-on, and sometimes with too confusing dialogues. The thought begins and twists in this lace of words, and it sounds super-poetic, but also super complicated.

I like some conclusions: that race is politics in America, that we constantly yearn for the departed, that God left and abandoned everyone, did not take responsibility, and he must be judged the same way he judges. But all this is lost against the backdrop of theatricality, which sometimes overflows its shores, against the backdrop of ghosts, talking statues and an overly infused cocktail of extravagance. Which I adore, but here with Michael Nichols, our tempo rhythms didn't match at all. It was either too much or very boring. I'm sure it looks much more organic on stage.

The actors are fantastic, and there are no words. Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Jeffrey Wright and Al Pacino are generally impeccable, and there's nothing to add, I love them all dearly. Of those whom I do not know, Mary-Louise Parker and Justin Kirk liked the most, I have never seen the latter anywhere before or since, which is a pity, a very talented guy.
