Probably the main advantage of the series for me is that it very competently expands the ENT of the original film in interesting directions. I really liked the fact that the skexis and mystics are one. The way they depend on each other, because skexis and mystik are two halves of the same urskek. So the presence of a Heretic and a Wanderer who live together and dream of joining is just a plague. They literally made this episode, especially with the voices of Andy Semberg and Bill Hader!! And also the first confrontation between a Hunter and an Archer.... Mmmm, hopefully this will lead to an epic ending.
And dolls that tell a story with dolls - huh!
And the awesome spiders and their way of communicating...
and these are the parasites that take over consciousness... "Do you want to control an Ogre? The ogre can't control itself" ahahahahahah
Actually, I read on IMDB that some tru fans dropped the series after the first 5-20 minutes due to the fact that a non-canonical version of the creation of Tra and the appearance of skexis was presented at the beginning. I already thought that the series was just an alternative narrative, but this series still put everything in its place by introducing the Urskeks. The rapture continues!
gt;the only time netflix screwed
up, but this is nonsense, I'm sorry, I have a completely opposite opinion - this is one of those RARE times when netflix turned out to be good
It's just a pity that the final is open. I would like to have a completely closed arc in one season before everything goes to hell and gets closer to the story from the movie. I wouldn't even mind some alternative ending other than the one in the movie. Although, I still wonder how it happened that the General died? Even though I'm incredibly pleased with Chamberlain's treachery)). And introducing gartims in the very last scene of the season is just bullying! (in the good sense of the word :). But it's clear that the creators are counting on a sequel.
But will there be a second season at all? It doesn't look like people just rushed to stream AOR in droves, despite the excellent ratings on tomatoes and IMDB. Although they have so many ready-made sets and dolls, the preparation for the new shoot should not be as long as before.
But even if that's all we get, these 10 episodes have been an incredible adventure. I am sure that I will definitely review them soon as soon as I have difficulty finding something new and exciting. Or I'll wake up tomorrow and turn on the first episode of xD again. And yes, no matter how corny it may sound, but I think Jim would be proud!!!
