It's a very cute TV series. In general, of course, the authors don't go into details about anything, since there are only three episodes, even the trial is outlined in general terms. In real life, gg was a rare woodpecker, hardly worthy of even mentioning, not like the series, but performed by Matthew McFadyen, he turned out to be comically funny, ridiculous and extremely charming, it's interesting to watch him.
I give five points for the excellent acting, makeup, costumes, lamp atmosphere of the 70s-(shooting gallery design!) and well-written dialogues. If you want something nostalgically light British for an evening about the 70s, here's a great candidate.
P.S. With this hairstyle and glasses, McFadyen looked very much like Michael Caine in "Remove Carter" and "The Straight Game":)

What an idiot John is. At first, he didn't turn out to be a spy, then he stuffed the illegal money into stupid investments and bought a house. Did he expect no one to notice? The actor plays him, of course, fantastically. I'm really enjoying his game.
