Overview
Girls with money, men with power. New money, old secrets. A group of fun-loving young American girls explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition. Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers' hearts are set on much more than that, and saying ‘I do' is just the beginning.

In the end, when Nan walked down the aisle, you'd think she was going to hard labor. You'd think she'd been forced. Justifies it with the goal of saving his sister, well, yes. Most of all, I feel sorry for Theo, he did not put pressure on her, gave her a few times to think, to make sure of her choice. And she had betrayed his trust again. I'm not talking about cheating at all. It was disgusting and low, in his own house! After that, I don't believe Guy's words that he wants happiness for a friend, or anyone can say anything about their "great and passionate love" with Nan, but everything is visible in the actions of a person. It's just empty, breathy chatter.
The series started well, but with each episode the main character annoyed the hell out of her, and the Duke became even more pitiful. As he drew with tears in his eyes in his oasis, I'm not waiting for season 2 absolutely.
And to be honest, Nan isn't much better. He rushes back and forth, prudently trying to hold on to the duke and flirt with Guy, hiding his rigidity with imaginary attempts to follow the call of his heart. But all this causes not admiration for the freedom of her spirit, but disgust, because she goes over the heads of others and people who love her. At this stage, I sincerely wish her and Guy to reunite, leave the wonderful Theo alone, because they both don't deserve him at all, and go somewhere into the sunset to live in poverty.
And I'm so sorry for Ginny. She's probably pregnant, and she's finally in the clutches of an abuser. With a child, she has nowhere to run, considering the era. Her family and friends turned away from her. I can't imagine how she'll get out.
