By the end, Don Diego is already the owner of the penal servitude, the ruler is a tyrant, and ready to speak to the execution of an innocent.

Why did the creators do all this, why did they waste the talents of good actors, scenery, costumes, and everything else on this miracle - a mystery purer than the mystery of Zorro's personality :)

This is some kind of grotesque avant-garde. Why disguise it as the adventure of a popular mainstream hero, who is expected to do something completely different, and whose audience is clearly not pleased with this?

The series tries to sit on two chairs, to be a comedy farce, but so that the problems of the characters and society are taken seriously.

Either you make a complete farce, like the same Frenchmen in Asterix, or you make an adventure movie with humor, like the old Zorro with Delon or the newer one with Banderas.

Well ... the creators do not understand the character, they are inconsistent in his presentation. Don Diego was a Zorro, a mumbling aristocrat he pretended to be. And according to the series, it turns out that this is his true nature. He could choose nonviolence over the years, but he did not become a naive fool over the years.

Something got everyone on Zorro in 2024 :)
