Matchmakers come to visit children in Moscow without warning. Masha and Maxim's house is a mess, the twins are completely spoiled, and Zhenya has turned into an informal teenager.

Masha and Maxim Kovalev, having worked in Holland for eight years, are returning home. The matchmakers are looking forward to a date with Zhenya — without Yuri, who did not survive a heart attack several years ago. But they will meet not with a sweet, obedient girl, but with a difficult informal teenager who grew up without parental attention and now scares others with his manners and hobbies. The situation for matchmakers is aggravated by calculating and cunning, grown-up twins Nikita and Vika, who are ready for risky adventures. The matchmakers decide to take Zhenya and the twins for "reforging" to the house of Olga, who moved to the village of the scientific elite of Sosna-3. Re-education, first according to the method of Ivan, then according to the method of Olga, does not give results. Only an understanding of adolescent problems and active participation in their solution reveal to them the former Zhenya — perky, witty and funny. And still loving her grandmothers and sweethearts. Along the way, matchmakers participate in the Goth festival, become chaters and organize a family ensemble, Zhenya finds a friend who turns out to be a rival, and the first serious hobby that turned into disappointment, Valya becomes a motorist and businessman, and Olga finds a new love.

As a teenager, I watched only the last seasons (5 and 6), because it was interesting to watch the adult Zhenya, especially since we are like two drops in everything, even the names are the same. But now, looking at it with a fresh look, I understand how much Anatolich is missing, Olga Nikolaevna has changed, there is not enough of that overly girly nature. And I don't like the attitude of my grandchildren towards my grandparents, everything was so wonderful with little Zhenya.
