I love Stieg Larsson's books, I like Swedish/Norwegian cinema. And in general, I am extremely attracted to the aesthetics of modern Scandinavia.
If you, like me, are tired of the dominance of endless comic book adaptations and other toothless films / series, there you are most likely at the address.
There is everything here: A joyless atmosphere, an interesting and moderately confusing plot. The most colorful characters in the form of detective Martin Ore, who embodies all the kindest and most humane and the Nuren Saga, which is completely detached from society.
Separately, I would like to praise the finales of all three seasons. Every time, I just couldn't believe that the outcome would turn out exactly like this. Most Americans cannot boast of such bold decisions.
The only "But" of the series is that it is a little difficult to "enter" it. At first, it is difficult to remember unusual names and names of urban areas by ear.
I liked the series so much that I watched it for five hour episodes a day.

As for the heroes, it is not yet clear how they are all connected with each other?
The first thing that fascinates: how casually the Scandinavians speak and show "below the belt".
The Noren saga literally penetrates into the head from the first seconds, and stays there for a long time. A very solid, very vivid image of a person with obvious psychological abnormalities, take at least her straightforwardness and complete lack of empathy, although this is not directly stated. And at the same time, some truly childish righteousness and naivety make her even funnier, especially at the moment when she wonders what she did wrong by informing on a colleague, and this same straightforwardness allows her to strangely help a journalist in his seemingly last moments of life. The maximum set to instantly become my favorite character.
Martin perfectly complements her: earthy, simple, good-natured, with a physiological disadvantage against his will, but a real professional is clearly hiding behind all this, and it becomes clear almost immediately that the image of a cute bear is only partially true.
What are the other two plots related to: a wealthy married couple, where the wife is so desperately fighting for the life of her husband, who is on the verge of death; and a savior (is it a savior?) I don't even have a clue about a poor girl with children from a tyrant husband, although I have some guesses. Perhaps the last line even passes in another time period, but again, this is just a version.
But the most important thing is that all these stories are interesting to look at on a par with a murder investigation, and I consider this to be true skill.
Perhaps the fact is that at one time I went through both popular detective novels, a la "Sherlock" and "True Detective", as well as the more local "Broadchurch", but I was captured absolutely immediately. There was a constant feeling that I had already seen all this, but not quite, and it somehow became even cozy, or something.
I barely made it through this episode, I was already thinking of quitting, but the moment when Veronica was taken to a house in the outback for some reason intrigued me. And it's nice to see "Konstantin") So I'll keep looking.
Saga and Veronica are two different girls (they have different voices, characters and locations). But those who do not know this in advance may indeed confuse and think that the second storyline is some kind of flashback about the Saga. But no.
For those who still can't tell them apart: Saga (detective) has a scar above his lip 😉

Но мне не понравились краски сериала
Всё так серо и уныло погружают в какую то грустную атмосферу, драму. А я такое не очень люблю.
Вобщем этот сериал я ставлю на временную паузу, возможно я к нему вернусь когда-нибудь позже. Может через год или два
Ещё хочу попробовать посмотреть "Мост" других стран
Россия и Эстония
Америка и Мексика
Малайзия и Сингапур
Возможно что-то из этого понравится более этого варианта.
Но сериал хороший.
Я ненавижу излишний экшн в кино, превыше всего история, а не картинка, поэтому начало уже сильно зацепило.
Кому-то виды серые, а у меня такие скандинавские пейзажи всегда захватывают дух)
