Sometimes I think Mike doesn't belong in this office. And not because he is soft-hearted, but because he is prone to completely uncontrollable stupid actions. The court is not a toy. A lawyer turning in his client is a damn bad thing. You can't come and whisper in your ear, "I'm giving you a guy, he was high." And how was Mike going to confirm his words? The prosecution acted wisely by not taking advantage of this unsubstantiated fact. And if at least someone found out about Mike's act, his career would come to an abrupt end. If you want to put criminals away, go, damn it, work in the prosecutor's office!!!
@sociolog_melvas: it's not correctness that's turned on, but emotions are bubbling up. A senseless attempt to look at your lifestyle and at the current case in particular through the prism of the case of the death of your parents using the childish concepts of "good" and "bad" and a hopeless desire to be uniquely good in the role of a person whose purpose is far from this, gives rise to throwing to extremes and, as a result, disappointment inconsistencies with naive expectations, resulting in cognitive dissonance, followed by depression.
@ReginaKrikova: did we really observe her at all? He is a dude with a perfect memory, good ingenuity and not always justified self-confidence, but at the same time demonstrates skills... Well, I don't know, a good private investigator at most? Not that this is not enough for an interesting show, but it seems that the creators presented the idea and could not really think through how to fully implement it.
Judging by the comments above, I'm in the minority here, but I really understand Mike... Sometimes it happens that we act according to the law and follow all the rules, but an inner sense of justice, nevertheless, tells us that we are wrong...
How annoying Mike is in this episode. Holy shit, you see, he knows what's good and what's bad. He's a lawyer after all, it's time to remember that the world is divided not only into black and white.
There has already been a lot written about Mike, and I would like to add that in light of these events, Harvey increasingly seems almost saintly towards him. One could, of course, say that he covers his own ass, but, in my opinion, he has to save this unfortunate child too often. From the very first episode, every time Harvey trusts Mike to do something on his own, I find myself thinking that this is a bad idea, and he'll mess up somehow. I would like to be able to empathize with the protagonist, and not just constantly hope that he will not create even more problems. But who knows, maybe this is what is expected of us.
Rachel wanted to do what with her speech? It looked so dumb, like, look, I can do that too. And who was interested in it at all? She nags Mike all the time, how annoying it is.
