The idea of one female fighter in a generation does not stand up to any criticism. Buffy "died" last school year, how did they manage to prepare Kendra in less than a year? Considering that she said that she had been trained since childhood. It would be better to say that there are many female fighters, they are just in different countries.

@Astion: There is a difference between a potential fighter and an active one. Some potential students learn from childhood, some, like Buffy, learn about "extermination" only after gaining power.

@Astion: Yes, it was not thought out. Apparently, they do not live for 20 years, and more often they die young. Although it's more like one live in a generation. And how is it transmitted at all? Any girl? Or the descendants of the first slayer? Or the extermination itself is transmitted to anyone, but then, over time, they learned that it manifests itself more often in the descendants. They didn't seem to describe any symptoms/signs of a potential infection. If genetically, then they could trace part of the line and prepare such since childhood.

In the first season, Buffy seems to have mentioned that she killed vampires before coming to Sunnydale, although she didn't know that she was the chosen one, and no one had prepared her for it.

@vk863408: Joss Whedon first shot a full-length film about Buffy, and there is an approximate backstory of how she found out that the chosen one + just preparation and the first "victories "..

There is something in this Spike, though. Not just some kind of villain a la The Master.
Kissing during an argument has already become a kind of genre in the cinema. I wonder how it all started?)
And I was really worried about Angel. My heart ached for him.

The whole episode was a pity for the Angel, it's good that they managed to save him. It will be interesting to see how Drussila behaves next, I'm sure she and Spike will come back.

Some kind of Angel was quite frail for a vampire, at first he was lying exhausted in a cage, then he screamed as if he had been cut by a knife, although Dru didn't even flinch😏

They didn't think through the story of the slayer's appearance properly, everyone now has their own thoughts on this matter, but I would like a truthful answer from the screenwriter.
After other series about vampires, I can't get used to the fact that they have human strength here and they don't knock out the door with a wave of their hand) every time I say, well, you can break the lock, and then oh no, it's not in this universe))
I liked the series, I want more of these epic fight scenes)

@ajbige: As discussed above, Kendra was taken to vampire extermination training as a child. And Giles said that winners only appear after the death of the previous one. The inconsistency is coming out. Here are the thoughts of how everything really is. someone is being trained and prepared for this, someone is being told abruptly that she is a fighter)

@BlondeBets: It's not really clear. How does the Council find out about a potential slayer? Maybe some kind of pointing spell? And in season 7, it turns out there are many potentials, not just one. Apparently they decided that they shouldn't bother. The intrigue)

So, on April 18, 2022, I declare with authority, this is just a super series!! It's good that I decided to reconsider)) Xander+ Cordelia = just crazy chemistry)) they brought them together perfectly. At the end of the episode, I still didn't have enough hugs from two fighter girls) Kendra is hot) I am very happy for Willow, she is the brightest Persian. The flight is normal! :))

Buffy was lucky to some extent that she knew life before she got the power, and she still has a life after that, although of course she has changed a lot. I still don't share the joy of Xander and Cordelia's kiss.
Xander is in love with Buffy and it's obvious that the feelings haven't passed yet, there's just no reciprocation, but if she were, he wouldn't even turn his nose in the other's direction, and it turns out that Cordelia is more of a comforting option than an object of sincere sympathy.

I liked the characters of the Taraka Order, especially the worm man) But Kendra was overdoing it with a ton of makeup. It was especially ridiculous how she was speechless at the sight of the opposite sex with such a layer of makeup, which even surpassed Cordelia...
