@CTAPTPEK: Caution! SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF "COWBOY BEBOP" ARE HERE AND BELOW! It's better not to read the comments here if you haven't watched it yet, but you plan to watch this anime, like me, for example (
@twenty-ten: How many years have passed since its release? It's one thing to complain about spoilers for new projects that not everyone has had time to watch, quite another for those who are already over 20
The anime is just great, the style is very unusual, the music and the direction are excellent. The plot didn't disappoint, good humor and good drama are present. One of those TV shows that you don't forget after watching)
It was amazing. Every scene, every phrase, every look is in its place. An anime that gives hope for a bright future. The fact that everyone - even the loneliest and most closed - can find companions, the meaning of life, and love by the will of fate. Jin, Mugen, and Fuu. Amazing characters who know how to feel and live. Which are really real. Each of them is a separate personality that causes both positive and negative emotions. These characters will make you experience a lot of feelings. These characters will cling to your soul like no other.
You won't regret a single second of your time spent on this anime, believe me. Samurai Champlu is something that everyone should watch at least for entertainment.
They both received several fatal wounds, but both survived.. Well, it doesn't happen that way, after all, a dramatic ending would have been more appropriate, she would have squeezed out a tear from many, and would have raised the anime's already high rating... Still, the ending "and they lived happily ever after" is not always appropriate.
@mda_heh_byvaet: the fact is (SPOILER ALERT) that this was the case in Shinichiro Watanabe's previous title, so why repeat yourself. Moreover, the samurai has a different atmosphere and mood.
There was a comment on one site that both Jin and Mugen died, and in the end, Fuu says goodbye to their souls, as if........................ we don't know whether to believe it or not, but the pzdts glass (we still have and the old man seems to be alive at the end too)
An outstanding thing. The anachronisms are hilarious. The music, which seems to be in discord with what is happening, actually fits perfectly. The "samurai smelling of sunflowers" pattern brought me to tears the first time. The characters are like family. Oh, it's great. Watch and review.
The fact that they split up in the end is even more illogical than the fact that Jin and Mugen were able to survive such injuries. especially after the phrase: "I finally found friends."
@vk353325: Are you looking for logic in a title where in Japan during the Edo period, there are informals with Mohawks in sunglasses, beatboxers, rappers, graffiti artists and baseball players? The Champlu has a completely different tone, which does not pretend to realism and logic, and this ending perfectly matches this tone, just as the ending of Cowboy Bebop perfectly matches its tone.
The beginning got me more hooked, by the end the interest began to fade. Why did they split up? After all, the three of them have nowhere to go anyway. The invincible Mugen and Jin in the last episodes were picked off like boys... In general, anime has a place to be. It's very interesting, funny and funny in some places. Mugen van love)
I was kind of waiting for the finale, but I'm so upset that the series is over. You get so attached to these beautiful characters that you don't want to let them go. And yes, I'm glad it wasn't a depressing ending, even though it seemed like it was coming to that.
I was sure that everything would not end so rosy, but it's probably for the best, because all the characters have sunk into the soul) Very cool anime, I will recommend it^^
I think it's telling how amazing this piece is that I've never missed a splash screen and watched the end credits online for the first time in my life. 12 out of 10
This series has objective pros and cons. Let's start with the latter: some madness, in the face of distortion of historical and not-so-historical facts, fraud and the delay caused by this fraud. But, the characters, the entourage, the music and the main plot outweigh the scales. The finale tied the pieces of the plot into one blanket and thus closed all the questions about the motivations and actions of the characters (although in general they were not revealed to us throughout the series). You can always advise people to get acquainted. Our thumbs up.
If the ending here was the same as in bebop, I would just choke on tears) Although, in the end, I already shed a tear at some points.
Overall, it turned out to be very emotional. The music is in harmony with the style, the humor intersects very well with the drama, and the characters, seemingly from different planets, turned out to be great company.
The fact that they broke up in the end can be assessed in different ways. They no longer have a common goal, they have completed their journey, so it is logical that everyone went their own way. However, the phrase about friends, and the conversation around the campfire in episode 24 make it clear that the guys have definitely become dear to each other. Perhaps they really will, as Fuu said, meet again, because no matter how many times they split up, they eventually got involved in some kind of story that reunited them again.
I watched this anime after "Cowboy Bebop", in terms of entourage and dynamics, these two anime are very similar, only one has a setting of the cosmic future, and the other has the historical era of Japan. Both are definitely worthy of your attention, classics!
It's a pity that this holy trinity went their separate ways, together they seemed to me like a kind of family of losers, whom life had battered a lot, and therefore their group seemed more than alive and organic. Fortunately, Jin and Mugen didn't die, and thanks for that.At least it pleases.
Anime is not included in the top favorites, however, I do not regret the time spent on it. Good adventures should come to their logical conclusion.👏
One of the best anime I've ever seen!probably the most stylish, there is also good humor and drama, I won't even talk about musical accompaniment, NUJABES RIP
Damn, thanks a lot to everyone who leaked the finale of "Cowboy Bebop" here! Now I'm opening a preview for the distant future, when I might forget about it...
I expected that in the last chapter all the characters would die one by one, the end of the road (which they periodically thought about throughout the anime, without coming up with anything). But fortunately, this is not a pretentious lazy shit, and the author managed not to merge the ending, purely by chance.
It's a wonderful series, the soundtrack didn't cause any dissonance in me, the drawing is cool. The trio is charming. Fuu is a little bit of a damsel in distress, but with a character. And Mugen and Jin are like two extremes of Spike's personality from Bebop, one is a cheeky slob, the second is an outwardly detached stoic, but both are actually sympathetic and empathetic.
After two of Watanabe's creations, I found out what I like so much about it: he connects the characters to each other for a while, they undergo a transformation together, but do not become a "family". And it's much more realistic than it could be.
It's a pity that they merged the swordsman from God, the man with the scythe and his brother in the chair. It's also a pity that the episodes with Miyamoto Musashi (Johnny) and the ninja girl who fell in love with Mugen were not shown
It so happened that I watched the Champla in parallel with Bebop, and I watched the Cowboy literally an hour ago (further SPOILERS). We have already written a lot about the contrast of the endings above, but I will pay attention specifically to the wounds.
Champlu: Jin was fatally wounded by a swordsman with the "Hand of God", who almost kills with a glance. Mugen was hacked, broken, shot and, in addition, blown up. Both are alive. Bebop: Julia got shot, almost accidentally (there was the last living enemy left). Spike was hurt more (but not more than Mugen). Both died.
Why am I doing this? If in Cowboy the death of the heroes did not seem inevitable to me, and there was a feeling that they just had to die because the author wanted such an ending, then in Samurai everything is exactly the opposite feeling. It's not a bad thing, it's just an observation 🙂
Once again, it's a feeling of loss when your favorite anime ends. When you realize that the characters' lives will continue, but not how you won't be able to find out what's going to happen next. There's such an emptiness inside, those days can't be brought back, my heart is just bursting.
