In light of the fact that Fox has a mania for killing characters and Max was killed in the last episode, I just jumped when Sally appeared. I like McClintock.
The creators of the series had enough funds to invite a bunch of actors from the past to the final season. But didn't even have enough for a minute appearance by Lauren Dean, who played Russ Brennan, at a very important moment in the plot of his father's funeral? Did Russ and his wife and daughters fly to another planet and starships don't fly from there in autumn/winter? Lauren Dean has not starred since 2011 and now seems to be busy writing music and other voiceover work. I don't think he would refuse to return to the role of Russ. I can't figure out what prevented this. Did he have a fight with someone? That's how Eric Millegan swore, which is for sure. And his character was returned anyway, after so many years. It's a very strange situation. Despite the fact that Sally, who appeared in only one season, upon learning of Max's death, rushed over to support Brennan. Like a piano out of the bushes. For a few minutes after his appearance, I tensed up, deciding that the creators had decided, in addition to all the troubles that had already happened, to separate Booth and Brennan at the end of the series, because of her newly flared feelings for a lover more than a decade ago. The serial God was merciful, at least thank you for that. And yes, I still can't get over the idiocy of Max's death. How did they do it, apart from the strained drama? There was nothing else to occupy the final season with, apparently. Sorry.
@Nastasya_kinskikh: That's what I'm talking about. A character for four episodes suddenly appears from somewhere when Brennan's father dies. And her brother will only be able to come in the summer. When the series is about to end. Very convenient. Although, at least Russ wasn't killed, and that's good. Booth's brother was not so lucky.((
Where is the logic? Bringing back Brennan's ex, whom I don't remember at all, is easy, but showing my brother at my father's funeral is a hell of a thing. It's just a hand.
The irrational behavior of the Bone, but it can be understood, is grief. Everyone copes in different ways. The victim's girlfriend is also very sorry. She died for nothing.
I can't understand the amount of negativity in the comments, to be honest. Yes, some of the screenwriters' decisions are unclear, but damn, I'm so attached to them all that I just don't notice it behind a bunch of strong, funny and touching scenes. She burst into tears, like my mother, which is generally surprising, she usually does not cry over TV shows. hd Aubrey is such an incredible sweetheart, my God, I just don't know. And not a laboratory, but some kind of Mexican TV series, a bunch of Brennanites. :D
This season and the series as a whole are killing me, I've been watching it for almost ten years, and in the end they decided to fucking kill everyone. Max for what!? They wanted a damn drama. Even Russ couldn't be dug up and dragged to his father's funeral. Brennan can understand how she realized she blames herself and Booth a little for not being able to protect everyone. Max, of course, died heroically, but still stupidly merged the hero. Why couldn't they find better security, some young FBI agents, they had the opportunity to organize a SWAT or at least a private security agency, because two agents didn't look reliable.
The bones barely fit into the frame when they showed her a rear view near the coffin, such a carcass. Time spares no one. I don't understand why everyone is so worried about Race, well, they don't show it, okay. It's a pity for the victim, such a stupid death.
@Eka-smile: be kind, after all, the actress gave birth to 2 children in a short period of time. We have all changed in 10 years, no one has become younger.
However, I didn't figure it out completely.
Pleasantly surprised or not...

It's a pity that Max was brought out at the end of the series.
It's just a hand.
-...It is excellent for drying venison
- I'm going to her)))
Aubrey as always
