s01e01 — Welcome to New York

The first episode is slightly funny, but the emphasis is on some kind of melancholy and the general squalor of their lives.
If this scares someone off, at least the next two episodes are much more comedic, it's clear what Stoller was doing. Although I suspect that they will return to the drama by the end. The humor is not always good, but in general it is quite good.
It was shot, by the way, admirably, Nick did not lose a drop of the colorfulness of the picture when switching to TV.
