It seems that the screenwriters have given up on the development of Lucifer. Okay, in the first seasons, he acted like everything was one big joke. But since then, he has learned that he is not so invulnerable, and anyway, someone stunned him and took the devil's face.
But, as the lieutenant correctly noted, he still behaves like an impulsive fool. (
It is clear that the second time the trick with a fake wife will not be so interesting, but we could come up with something smarter than the queue to the soul exchanger.

PS: If he decided to open up to Chloe, then he would have already shown his wings, what to pull!

P. P. S: Hooray, Maze is coming back in the next episode!!))

@the_pheonix1: This is in the first episode, with gases)) But then he found out that they had returned.
It's just that the screenwriters portray him as too childish.
It seems like he made the decision to open up to her, but after the first failure, he immediately gave up on it. And then why was all this?
It's like they're trying to hint to us that he has some kind of split personality.
Sometimes he worries about his detective, wants her to believe him, gathers up the courage to tell her, then immediately he doesn't care about it, no more attempts, even if they continue to consider him gone and do not believe.

Seriously, if a loved one didn't believe you, would you give up trying to prove your case after the first failure?

Especially since there are no serious obstacles, his wings pop out for any reason. If he waves his wings without any problems in front of the first person he meets, then he could well spend a couple of minutes on his favorite detective.

@vin: and if the loss of his devilish face, the presence of wings, and the inability to show Chloe his true self is a coincidence?
I mean, what if he really can't prove to Chloe that he's the Devil, and suddenly her wings won't come out?
And more. Luci's wings are the embodiment of the fact that he is an angel, and the red pug is the Devil. And Luci wants to prove to the detective that he is the Devil, not an angel. He hates wings, and adores himself as the ruler of hell.

@Oliverell22: Maybe. But so far it looks like he just scored.
Agree that she would rather believe in a Sinner if she knew that Lucifer was telling the truth about being the devil.

As I said in the first comment, it seems that the character development was simply ignored. For two seasons, we were shown how he changed, how all this psychotherapy worked, how he got closer to the detective and understood how dear she was to him, and so on. and so on. And we ended it all with a toilet joke...

@vin: Sometimes I don't understand why Lucie goes to a psychiatrist. When something came to him and he understood something, how to act or what to say, and it helped - it was only at the beginning of everything. And now it's like a remark between scenes. The psychologist is banging her forehead against the wall.

@vin: I also thought about this moment. But perhaps this intrigue is necessary due to the fact that Decker does not know about the essence of Lucifer. Although it looks really stupid.
I don't think Lucie scored exactly. Firstly, he is stunned by the absence of his face. Secondly, Decker also made an ugly joke. It's as if he thinks Lucie is a clown, unable to reveal any of his secrets to her. She laughed at him. So who is destroying the achieved intimacy in a relationship?

I stared at this lieutenant for 2 episodes, and only at the end did I realize which actor was playing this role. I didn't recognize him without his dark hair. His blond hair and stubble had changed him normally like that. I recognized him mostly by his eyes. But honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised. I hope his character will be revealed, and not stupidly merged into some kind of mess. Well, at first I had the feeling that he was the Sinner. It has receded at the moment, but let's see who he turns out to be.

@Cathnoquey: He's a total Sinner. Logically, he gave Lucifer carte blanche to investigate, while forbidding anyone to speak except for himself. Conclusion: he wants to know how close Luci will get to the solution, and, if anything, to put on the wrong track or distract, well, or kill (he doesn't know about his essence).

It seems to me that the new head of the department is the same Sinner (but this is not accurate) or he works for a Sinner. Well, watching him, it's all kind of obvious. He provokes Lutsyk to dig under the Sinner, watching him and studying him. One of the sins is lying and deception. He lied to Lucifer that the patchy guy was working for a sinner. I think he was watching the interrogation at the time and studying Lucifer's ability. A very interesting series. The screenwriters gave us something to think about.

@Q-River: It's too obvious - this was Luci's first thought, which he himself had almost given up on. At least, repeated doubts have been expressed by him or other characters - that is, we are being prepared for the fact that God is not behind this, and it is difficult to attract Him to an active role, I think this will not happen - the makers themselves will be afraid, atheists or not, and there are too many people in the manufacturing company, so that there won't be someone who believes in a sufficiently key position, who will be safe, even if something happens.

I thought they would delay revealing the lieutenant's character, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Why does everyone think that he lied about the arrested jerk, and that he is a Sinner himself?
He told Lucifer that he was investigating a Sinner in Chicago, and someone very close to the lieutenant died because of it. It's easy to check. So why would he say that if he's lying and he's a Sinner himself?

The version that "fat Clark Kent" is a daddy who came down to observe, take care of or something else is still a little thin.

We are all waiting for the appearance in the next episode of Maze.
And there hasn't been a monkey yet, I miss her!
And Ella. Gorgeous as always! That fanatical gleam in his eyes! "And I believed you!" :))

To be honest, Ami's whining is already starting to annoy me. But the rest of the series is great, they begin to unfold the plot. Lucie's return to the game of "doing favors" was immensely gratifying. Back in the first season, there was a scene where Chloe asks, they say, how did you manage it (there seemed to be a favor from a famous person), and Lutz cunningly replies, they say, he owed me..)

I like how the lieutenant's character develops. Well entered the cast of the series!
Intrigued by this series. Indeed, there are hints that the lieutenant may be a sinner, but at the same time, as noted above, he would not lie about a "loved one", because it is easy to check. Another thing is, Lucifer never digs that deep, and he could have known that he would not be tested.
Another question is, is the sinner some kind of magical creature? Or it's just a coincidence that he kidnapped Lucifer... After all, if there are angels and demons, there must be other beings? And they haven't been in the series yet.
I doubt that a sinner can return wings and take away his face. I think it's more likely that Lucifer is becoming more "human", which means that he is more of a good-natured angel than a villain devil! And no "father" or other persons are involved here. Although who knows..
I also want to say that it's time, it's time to tell the whole truth to Decker, because she looks too stupid, and their whole storyline is too fucked up!
