It's a very good ending. Brian really does love Justin. But are those feeling reciprocal? I have serious doubts. Justin probably did love him earlier, but now? Nah. FFS, he stopped in season 2! So, last scene at the Babylon... yeah, it's sad, 'cuz it the last minutes of the show, but I'm so glad that Brian shared that dance with Michael.
I do not know if any other series will be able to evoke so many emotions for me. That's just great. I do not know about you, but I really like the camera work in this series. It's like the dude isn't holding a camera, but is painting the most beautiful oil painting in the world. imho
@Rynkha: Yes. I immediately noticed that if they were shooting now, in high quality, it would be as luxurious as Mr. Robot. The only difference is that there were qafs long before the robot, and these are amazing shots... Oh, it's a pity that the quality is only like that.
It's the only series I'm watching for the second time. It knocks out so many emotions, so many experiences, that I can't tear myself away. Of course, I would like a better ending, but let's just say everything is designed in the style of Brian with:
It's a great series. When I started watching, I didn't think it would cause so many emotions. Thanks to the creators and actors for this wonderful story. Definitely, I will review it.
I hoped until the very end that Teddy would get back together with Blake, and then he finally did) and I was also afraid of Brian's obsession with becoming monogamous. fortunately, he became himself again))
Damn, it hurts, it hurts terribly. Probably because it's all so realistic to the point of goosebumps. I didn't cry at sentimental or violent moments, no. I was hooked by the words about universal rights and freedoms. And do you know what the most exciting thing is? That this story will live on in our heads. It was as if they had described just one episode, several years of the life of one family. And it's incredibly sad that it's over. If I live to see it, I'll review this series in 5 years.
Thank you, qaf. The main thing this series has shown me is the importance of true friendship. I will never regret watching queer, in my opinion the best series on the topic of combating homophobia.
It's a wonderful series!!! It is very painful to say goodbye to him.. Maybe I'll review it more than once. SHOWTIME is just great at making TV series!!! And this story will always remain in my heart:Z...
What a great show. To be honest, I only started watching it because of the gays, but the plot got so twisted and I got involved. So much is shown in this series: love, friendship, and the relationship between parents and children. For me, this series has remained special. I'm going to miss Justine so much.
Hate. I just hate these endings that break my heart. Damn, I've been so worried about Brightin all seasons, so excited about their upcoming wedding, and now I'm so sad and broken. No, I'm not disappointed, because the end is as it should have been, and it's very good, but we could have sent Brian to New York too, or left Justin somehow. Because it hurts too much. Because I don't even want to think about the fact that Brian and Justin might not meet again. I'm sure they'll meet later and be together. At least that's what I'll always believe. P.S. I'd just love to cry at Brian and Justin's wedding in the last episode.
@ksenit01: I subscribe to every word. My heart swelled with happiness when I saw Brian and Justin in suits, that just a little more - and it would be what they had been working towards for so long;( But no matter how much I loved Justin, I don't understand him: I broke up with Brian myself, because he despised the bonds of marriage, there was no hope for a family future, and as soon as Brian saw the light, Justin no longer needed it, and the audience now suffers (
Justin is a moody teenager by God, oh you're not a romantic, oh you don't say you love me, oh you don't want to get married. How many times has he hurt Brian and left because of it? And as soon as Brian opened up, confessed, and did something romantic, omg, you're not the person I fell in love with.
That's it?.. Forgive me for being sentimental, it means a lot to me. They say it's just comics, it's just TV series/movies, it's just music groups. It's just that. That's not so. At least that's what Michael taught us with his comics-your knowledge is just as valuable as the rest. The first time I watched the series was when I was between 12 and 14 years old, I don't remember exactly. I've reviewed it a couple of times. And now, again, but like the first time, I didn't remember much, just the key moments. And just as I started crying at 510, I cried moments right up to the very end. This series taught me so much the first time, and now I've just seen how important it is. Michael's speech is about all the colors of the rainbow - bears, daddies, families with children. Ted's words about "no one can give me what I can't give myself." An amazing ending to an incredible series. Debbie was talking about family, and yes! - they're like family to me, and even more.
Besides, Gale/Brian looked at Randy like that./Justine, when "we decided not to get married." And when Randy whispered to Gale on the Larry King show, "I love you." There's so much tenderness in their eyes, so much love. God, it's a pity that the sequel probably won't be made.
And despite all the years that have passed. I still want to say thank you to them all - for such a script, for such characters, for such a performance (I still don't know the best Brian, and I don't see anyone in this role - thanks to Gale), thank them for everything. And for this final song, as an indicator that no matter how old you are, you can't know and control everything. You can just be yourself.
Still so many answers I don't know, realise that to question is how we grow So I step out of the ordinary, I can feel my soul ascending I am on my way, can't stop me now And you can do the same
@youarebymyside: I watched queer for the first time this fall. The series is amazing, it has put aside a lot of emotions. But I was somewhat spoiled by this stupid chicken youarebymyside!! It's necessary to comment on almost every episode, and in many comments to stuff spoilers for future episodes. I barely made it to the finale to say everything I think about her. Burn in hell, you fool!! And for everyone else in the future, if you suddenly comment on a series that you have already watched, please write only about the events that happened, without getting ahead of yourself. Don't be like youarebymyside.
One of the few TV shows that I've watched more than 2 times. At first glance, it seems that the series is focused only on sex and relationships between LGBT characters, but it really is not. Close Friends is a pretty vital and instructive series for all people, regardless of orientation. I fell in love not only with the main characters, but also with the secondary ones, as well as with the love line. Close Friends is definitely one of the masterpiece series, and it's a shame that some people see it as sex-themed and nothing more.
why do the scriptwriters want everyone's heart to break? All the TV shows that are finished have similar endings. We could have shown the "a year later" scene after the credits, and there was Brightin. This series is perfect, I recommend it.
I reviewed it a second time. This is almost the first series in my memory that falls in love with itself more and more with each season. It's a perfect story.. It's just a pity that it's over...
I don't even have the words. I've been planning to watch this series for so many years, and now it's gone like a blink of an eye. Such a frenzied sea of emotions, love, joy, empathy... these characters have become so familiar that it is impossible to convey. It's great! The ending is so real, realistic. It's like it's not a TV series, but really real life. When Brian and Mikey started dancing in the ruined Babylon, I burst into tears and couldn't stop. They are now forever in my heart. All of them
I don't know how to describe how much I love this series. I've watched it 4 times and it's still great. I think it's already a tradition to review it every 2-3 years. So many important topics are raised in this series and everything is shown honestly. Adore.
@youarebymyside: I think there's something to it. In this poor quality, relatively old music and Brian's ridiculously funny glasses, there is the series itself. Damn, it's incredibly cozy and homey! If it was being filmed now, I'm not sure it would have remained as amazing. This series has a unique atmosphere, and if it had been shot on modern cameras, I think it would have lost a part of itself) I have never felt such emotions for any other series, it is beautiful in this terrible quality.
Oh, I don't know (( The series itself is insanely gorgeous, but there are some uncluttered moments... What about the 14th Amendment? I also read on the wiki that after Justin left, Brian rediscovered Babylon, is that true, what do you think? I was waiting for something more, I was very angry at Justin for leaving, although I understand why) I really wanted this wedding, but as soon as they started talking about New York, I realized that there would be no wedding Mel and Lindsay - despite the fact that they annoyed me in the first season, when they reunited and became a happy family again, I cried with joy. Mikey, honey, it was really scary when I got hit by a bomb. But now everything in his family is wonderful, which he deserves. Ted and Emmett - I'm sorry that they're not together again at the end of the season, that's all x) Overall, it's a great series with ever-relevant themes.
That's all over. The last moments in Babylon made Brian Kinney an iconic character. The eternally young Peter Pan. A standard gay man who doesn't exist in reality, but here he is dancing in the middle of a fictional Babylon.
About Brian and Justin's relationship. The scriptwriters have written out Brian's character surprisingly accurately. And it started back in the first season. He said it himself, which is the main thing in his character. And these are not all his arguments about gays and straight people. This is a scene with Justin's father, when he offers his son to return home if he stops being gay. Brian then said: "It's not love, it's violence." And later in the series, he demonstrated many times how much he couldn't stand violence. Physical, moral, whatever. It's the same first season. The scene where Justin was hit on the head with a bat. What is Brian doing? He runs out of the car, picks up the bat, hits it exactly once to drive away the aggressor, and that's it. There is no aggression on his part, this is a necessary action. But many people in his place would have hit him several times, but with emotions.
And the scriptwriters come back to this over and over again. Shortly before the end of season 5, they dedicate an entire episode to the competition between Brian and Brandon's new star. This is an important episode before the denouement, in order to understand why there will be no wedding. Brandon loses, comes to Brian's house to pay, but he refuses to sleep with him. Why? Because he sees that Brandon doesn't want to, which means it's violence. Brian doesn't need this kind of sex, it's not fun, it's against his beliefs.
The story of the wedding, although it warms the heart, committed violence against both characters. A young guy who refuses a big future. Peter Pan, trying to grow up, even though he doesn't want to. It's a good thing that didn't happen. After all, there is a guest marriage, and the characters have already started discussing it before parting. Plus, the scriptwriters later clarified that this would be the case (the house in Provence). These two will be able to maintain love and relationships while remaining themselves.
@natashik123: I agree with every word. Brian's important trait is to do what he wants without interfering with others to do what they want. I think that's one of the reasons he's an innate marketer)
I got the idea that Justin didn't need a wedding and a family life as such. At least not at this moment. It was important to him that Brian was his and with him. And if they are with each other, then the shape is not important)
I fully support you. No matter how much I would like to see their wedding and happy family life. However, this is not about Brian and Justin. They grew as individuals next to each other, adding new qualities to each other. And from season to season, we saw how Brian nurtured in Justin that he should not sacrifice himself and his future. We've seen them break up many times, but they always come back to each other.
It was definitely noticed that Justin was more interested in knowing that he was important to Brian and that Brian loved him. Probably because that way he'll be sure he can always come back. They are strong and independent individuals, so it may take years, but there is a feeling that fate will push them together again, as it has happened many times.
It seems that there is no more suitable partner for Brian than Justin, and the vacant place of "husband" will always be his, even if they never get together. They are on equal terms, they don't hold each other back, they don't sacrifice themselves for each other. I think that's why Brian fell in love with Justin. The bachelor party scene showed it.
The fact that Justin left doesn't mean that he fell out of love or got his way and left. It shows that he has grown up. And if he had stayed, then perhaps they would have truly broken up in their married life. Brian couldn't accept that someone would sacrifice their success for him. That's not what he taught Justin.
If you count the years, then Justin is only 22-23. My whole life is ahead of me. I'm sure Brian wants him to get everything from her, too, as he did himself once (he opened his own advertising agency, for example). So that's right. Their ending is open, but I'm sure it's not the end. 🙏🏻
@natashik123: what an important point about violence did you notice, I did not focus on it when I watched it. Thank you for revealing this side as well. this is very accurate.
I'm glad for this ending, because it would be strange if everyone got a happy ending at the same time, as if it were a Disney cartoon and not real life. I believe that Emmett and his athlete can get together or find a wonderful new guy.
I am 100% sure that Brian and Justin will continue to love each other and they will have their own type of relationship or marriage, which will be without sacrifice on both sides. Because the last few episodes, as much as I wanted this wedding, I felt like it was something wrong. Brian is not Brian, such a life will be enough for him for a couple of years at most, and then how Debbie will be fired or vice versa, it will really destroy their relationship. Just like Justin will start to regret making such sacrifices for Brian.
I hate it when in life, in TV shows, they make sacrifices for the sake of relationships and do what they don't want. It's always a road to nowhere. Brian and Justin could never live the same life as Michael and Ben. They are completely different, with a different past and character. And they need a third way.
How I love this series and how it shows all these complicated bittersweet feelings from the very first season. I am very proud of the inner growth of each character.
These guys broke my heart and put it back together several times in the three years that I've been watching this series a little bit. More than 15 years have passed since the release of the last episode, but I have a feeling that all this is happening right now. The way the series was shot, the soundtracks, the screensaver, the incredible cast - the love of a lifetime! Brian fucking Kinney is a separate art form. It makes sense to learn this: to always be so different, but at the same time, first of all, to be so yourself. Wrap it up for me, please)
But actually, I'm crying, girls. Let's cry together)
Well, that's it, I finished watching this series again, and I started at the end of August. This series is my mainstay. When I'm sad, when my life is falling apart, I review queers, and every time they save me. and now again.
I can't believe it's over. and it ended like this again. Every time at the end, I hope, but what if, well, what if everything happens after all? but the end of life.
now additional materials and features are waiting for me. and review any episodes again.
For me, it's not just a series at all. It's a family.
The end of the series, no matter how many times I watch it, always evokes a feeling of some kind of bright sadness. It's like you're parting forever with important people who seem to be leaving you, but at the same time remain invisibly hovering somewhere with you.
P.S. Now I can say with confidence that I know exactly what Love looks like.
I'm just watching the first season for the first time. I don't know if I should envy the people who watched him when he came out. Maybe it's better when everything is already known? After the last episode of season 1, I was so nervous that I couldn't stand it and found everything there is about the finale. Otherwise, she just couldn't handle her emotions. And now I can't. My God, guys, this is the best story...! And from the first episode, I knew, I felt, that there would be no happy ending at all. Maybe the finale will disappoint me, but Justin promised to come back, didn't he? And will Brian keep the rings? That's all I'm comfortable with right now.
But now I don't even know how to look? Whether to continue, knowing that such a finale. Although the ending is open, the scriptwriters could have done a lot worse. Have we gone our separate ways for a better future together? I want to order my heart to believe in it.
@Kirie_: It's definitely worth watching. Because it's actually not so important how it ended, but how it all happened) The guys are awesome! And each and every storyline is cool and complete. A rare example of a series in which almost nothing was leaked in the process, and the ending was definitely not leaked! (I love Ben, of course, but the physiotherapist was really leaked just to insert a story with a professor, it's a pity)
To be honest, I'm terribly glad that I've been putting off this series for so long. I met him exactly when I needed it the most. I didn't expect queers to get me so hooked. and that I would want literally every person to shout and recommend this series so that it would never be forgotten. It's really a very important and very soulful product. I would like a new generation to get to know him now, 20 years later.
and of course, Brightin. I can not. Initially, I started watching the series only because of them, having fallen for a fairly popular, but rarely canonical cliche of a gay couple. and she just fell out. They were so beautiful. so sincere and so real. and as much as I'm a bitch, I'm not offended that I never saw this incredible (for everyone) The event where Brian Kinney and his Sunshine swear their love to each other, I understand that the ending is correct. for both of them. They've done a hell of a job not only on their relationship, but on their personalities. they gave each other the best, left the strongest memories and are moving on. that's right. It's beautiful. And it's great that the series ended that way.
P.S. but I'm still upset and I'm going to eat up all this sadness with all sorts of headlines and fanfiction about their he
@fasberdi: - "Umtsa-umtsa continues. And it always will be, no matter what happens, no matter who the president is. As our Disco Lady, the divine Miss Gloria Gaynor has always sung to us: we will survive."
There's still something unique in 2021 , a wonderful series, and I really regret not seeing it in my younger years, but at the same time it's a unique and amazing experience to watch it now when I can feel what it's like to be around an adult, what it's like to be an LGBT+ activist and try to cope with all these kind of adult problems.
@habentum: And more I understand that the series began to be released at the very turn of the noughties and this is a huge breakthrough for that time, but damn, how strange it is to me that throughout the series the characters of queer as folk did not find out that bisexuality exists?? lindsay, who had a fleeting affair with that artist and as a student "stormy summer" with Brian? Actually, Brian himself? the character who was in love with Debbie after she said she no longer loved her husband (so she once did!)? For some reason, for all these and other characters, their sexuality was bouncing between hetero and homo, I had no idea how stigmatized it used to be (?) bisexuality
@habentum: And maybe Hunter? Yes, because of his past and what his mother forced him to do, he has traumatic memories and has never had a normal relationship with guys. He still has to figure himself out.
This series is great and gives a lot of emotions. This is the first series that captured me so much, and every episode I held my breath in anticipation. Yes, the end is not what I expected, I wanted Justin and Brian to stay in place, but the authors let us come up with the end of this character ourselves, although I don't like it, but this is the best way out of this situation. I will definitely review this series in the future and more than once.
Well, I've watched the series for the fifth time. Each time, I am convinced that in the end, the paths of life of both will lead them to each other. No, not because I'm romantic and I want them to be together no matter what. It's just that these two people have become a part of each other and after five years they still love each other. And in order to understand this, they don't need rings, they don't need a wedding. They belong to each other, even if they don't live together. And after all, it's only 600km from Pittsburgh to New York.)
"Next weekend, next month, or never again. It doesn't matter. It's just time." This confirms my words that they belong to each other. Meetings don't matter, they're still a part of each other. PS And Brian still hasn't handed over the rings.
I never thought that the series could so catch the soul. I've already watched it 6 times and every time I cry for the 13th episode of season 5, although I understand that Brian and Justin will always be together. Because their love is deep and mutual and is not subject to time and distance. But I don't have the mental strength to watch them say goodbye, so sometimes I stop at episode 12. It is a pity that there is no sequel or a new part with the same artists . No remake can replace what is already a masterpiece.
Brian was Justin's first love. And Justin took the most out of this relationship, out of Brian, he outgrew him, outgrew the relationship. Brian saw it for himself and understood it even before the season 5 finale. And she discussed it after Justin's first trip/internship in New York.
On YouTube, there is an analysis of the final scene, where Brian looks at Justin, and he looks ahead to the future, everything is just beginning for him.
Many thanks to the creators for the realistic ending.
Love is forever. This series helped me get through high school, a period of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and that's all, then he became my best friend and lifeline. And now, watching it for the second time, more than 10 years later, with my boyfriend, firstly, I am amazed at how frankly it was filmed for that time (even now not everyone would dare to do such a thing), and secondly, nothing better on the subject after QaF has not been filmed. The best thing I've seen, I love, I miss, I hope for a real reboot (or more precisely, a sequel) with the original cast, although it's unlikely, of course.
I cried the whole episode. It's an absolutely brilliant series, you get so attached to each of the characters, I wouldn't have thought when watching the first season that I'd be SO hooked. Then I thought I wouldn't review it, but here I am - just after watching the last episode, I want to immediately turn on 1x01 and review it all over again. Now I absolutely understand why so many people love him, why he is considered a classic of Queer media. I'm glad that Justin and Brian's story wasn't cut short, but left a place for imagination-I'm sure they stayed together while remaining true to themselves-and that was the very essence of their relationship. And who wrote in the spoiler comments to the previous episodes that the series ended with a lonely, drunk Brian dancing alone? It's not like that at all! The point is that he's not alone anymore, that Justin is still there, like all his friends, no matter what. I'm so overwhelmed with emotions, I can't breathe. Absolute love.
@K2isOn: And Brian. Brian fucking Kinney. One of the best characters in the history of the series. I never would have thought that I would fall in love so much
I cried all three times when watching it. I cried when reading the comments. It's so cool to realize that there are people out there who love this series as much as I do. 💖
I watched this series for the first time in 2013 when I was terribly sad. Then in 2016, when I couldn't even get up from the couch. And now, in 2023, I'm completely rethinking my life. The show saved me all three times. But now everything is somehow perceived differently. Deeper.
This story gives me an incredible boost of energy, inspiration and faith.
It shows that we have the same life, and that you need to listen to yourself and do what makes you happy.
How the characters often repeat "fuck them all." And the trademark "No apologies. No regrets" is now on my phone screen saver. There is an absolute feeling that each of us can do anything.
A wonderful ending.Very very correct.Who said this was the end of their relationship? Where does it say this? They went through another level and reached the next stage of their relationship.Justin is 22 years old!!! The boy is a genius who needs to create like air, be free, discover new facets of his talent, receive love and recognition. This is correct and fair.Brian has reached his peak in his career, he is rich, he is famous, he has proved to everyone and above all to himself what he is worth as a person and a professional. Now about their relationship. They Love, and in a way that is not given to many. They have the best sex, they understand each other, they admire each other's qualities, talents, achievements, they went through such trials and only fell in love even more. It's such a rarity actually. They no longer need to ring each other, sacrifice and change to please their partner. It's really cool, very mature and real.Full trust, full acceptance of the other with all the flaws..I envy them ❤❤❤❤❤ I have no doubt that they will be together all their lives.Every day, once a week or once a year - it doesn't matter. There is a certain level of intimacy, and they have reached it, at which being around every day makes no difference. And animal passion and compatibility in bed do not disappear anywhere. It's either there or it's not..Therefore, good luck to Justin in his work, patience to Brian, because at this stage it is harder for him than for the boy, he has passed his peak of sexual desires, so he will wait for Justin more often..But again, everything is logical and correct.Brian got rid of the fear of attachment, accepted love as a necessary, important feeling and now it will be easier for him. Of course, we are all brought up so that a wedding, a house and children are the logical conclusion of a love relationship. But in reality this is not the case.Especially very talented, ambitious, freedom-loving, sex-loving men have a lot of good sex...It is more difficult for women in this regard..They are a priori expected to do something else and are even more limited.
@fb1480102: I liked your thought in the last paragraph, it made me think. Throughout the series, I noted to myself how the relationships of lesbians, gays and heteros were shown in different ways. And that even within these groups they can be completely different, like snowflakes. If in season 1 they played on the stereotype that gays only fuck and cannot commit themselves, then by the end of the series we see that this is not the case. As well as the fact that Lesbian women can always be together and faithful to each other, in the process we see that it can be different and it can be experienced.
Brian and Justin are the couple I first believed that an open marriage and relationship might be the best option for some people. And not just a story to legalize infidelity. This was strongly felt at the arch with Ethan, where Justin said that he never needed to forgive Brian because he never promised him anything. While Ethan swore in love, but almost at the first opportunity he did not keep his promise.
Also, in the finale, Brian and Justin do not promise each other anything from the series, that we will see each other and fly to each other every week, because we love each other so much. They make the promises that I can keep. And they hold them back. And this is their strength and the strength of their love. And then it really doesn't matter if they're around every day or how often. It's just time, it won't affect their feelings in any way. And they love each other for who they are and this choice to cancel the wedding and leave out of such love that I'm dying. It is interesting how, at the same time, Ted's new dude is also shown in parallel, which also swears in love, but at the same time cannot be with Ted for a second and isolates him from everyone, he is jealous. He only talks about feelings, about the idea of feelings. It's so wild for Britons.
What difference does it make in what status they are and how often they see each other, how close they are. They have been together for 4+ years and only enrich each other's lives, not trying to change and adjust to themselves for the sake of love. And I don't think there is anything that will destroy this connection between them.
The series is great. he gives a lot of emotions, fills a music playlist and generally looks lamp-like. but the ending still probably disappointed me. The branch with Brian and Justin is an emotional swing that both of them are playing now. Justin had stories with a poor romantic, and sympathies in the world of one-story houses with friendly couples with children. that is, he really wants monogamy and romance, but Brian's impoverishment happens so abruptly and unnaturally that in the end the wedding just turns into a double prank, and it's not clear why it was all started at all. and this incomprehensible fabulousness annoys me. On the one hand, we all want the best for the characters we like, but sometimes the best just comes at the last moment, which is why you don't believe it. The best example is Ted's holiday. Oh, how convenient it is that all the people necessary for happiness have gathered in this house in the mountains, it's just a miracle. It's the same with Hunter's line - he just came back and everything in his life got better. Yes, even the fact that Justin is a mega-genius artist who is finally being noticed right now on the verge of big changes. Behind all these moves, I'm looking at the answer to the question "how would we end the series now?" rather than the planned completion of the heroes' stories. of course, there is some charm in naivety, such as in Brian's advertising campaigns, which caricature male sexuality (if this would work now, it would not always work). but as it happens, the endings of the last three seasons have rather disappointed me, while the first episodes are the opposite.
The series ended 20 years ago. Today I watched it for the 3rd time. The character of Brian Kinney will forever remain the leader of my top most charismatic characters on television and in movies.
Many people here write that no other series have ever caused them similar emotions. I absolutely agree. I'm crying like the first time.
That song finally got me all over again. What have you done today to make you feel proud? Some characters in the series can really be proud of themselves every day because they chose to stay honest with themselves. I would really like to cultivate this quality in myself. QAF as a board book ♥️
I wanted to write out the most powerful quotes from the series and hang them around the apartment as affirmations, maybe it will help. …
I was very lucky that this series was recommended and I watched it! I really like this atmosphere of the 2000s: mobile phones, cars, America of that time, clothes, everything, in principle)) I haven't had such a visual orgasm from watching it for a long time! we wrote a lot about wisdom above, raising important topics is not even discussed, which in our time we want more and with the right presentation) definitely "Close friends" are among the top five favorite series, 10/10, I will review 200%, I am sure that I could have missed something the first time, after which-then I'll look at the scenes differently after a while))
When, at the beginning of the episode, the first thing the song from that sad moment at the car from the first season started playing, for some reason, it immediately became clear what kind of ending awaited them.

89So, last scene at the Babylon... yeah, it's sad, 'cuz it the last minutes of the show, but I'm so glad that Brian shared that dance with Michael.
I do not know about you, but I really like the camera work in this series. It's like the dude isn't holding a camera, but is painting the most beautiful oil painting in the world. imho
It knocks out so many emotions, so many experiences, that I can't tear myself away.
Of course, I would like a better ending, but let's just say everything is designed in the style of Brian with:
Justin and Brian took the best from each other!)
and I was also afraid of Brian's obsession with becoming monogamous. fortunately, he became himself again))
If I live to see it, I'll review this series in 5 years.
So much is shown in this series: love, friendship, and the relationship between parents and children. For me, this series has remained special.
I'm going to miss Justine so much.
P.S. I'd just love to cry at Brian and Justin's wedding in the last episode.
But no matter how much I loved Justin, I don't understand him: I broke up with Brian myself, because he despised the bonds of marriage, there was no hope for a family future, and as soon as Brian saw the light, Justin no longer needed it, and the audience now suffers (
Actually, it's a great ending to a great series.
Still so many answers I don't know, realise that to question is how we grow
So I step out of the ordinary, I can feel my soul ascending
I am on my way, can't stop me now
And you can do the same
Clearly...
Maybe one day, we'll see a little sequel that tells the story of their future lives.
Acting, screenwriting, cinematography - everything is brilliant.
This series is perfect, I recommend it.
All of them
So many important topics are raised in this series and everything is shown honestly. Adore.
I was waiting for something more, I was very angry at Justin for leaving, although I understand why) I really wanted this wedding, but as soon as they started talking about New York, I realized that there would be no wedding
Mel and Lindsay - despite the fact that they annoyed me in the first season, when they reunited and became a happy family again, I cried with joy.
Mikey, honey, it was really scary when I got hit by a bomb. But now everything in his family is wonderful, which he deserves.
Ted and Emmett - I'm sorry that they're not together again at the end of the season, that's all x)
Overall, it's a great series with ever-relevant themes.
I got the idea that Justin didn't need a wedding and a family life as such. At least not at this moment.
It was important to him that Brian was his and with him. And if they are with each other, then the shape is not important)
The series is in the top of love.
- Always!..
I can't believe it's over. and it ended like this again. Every time at the end, I hope, but what if, well, what if everything happens after all? but the end of life.
now additional materials and features are waiting for me. and review any episodes again.
For me, it's not just a series at all. It's a family.
P.S. Now I can say with confidence that I know exactly what Love looks like.
Have we gone our separate ways for a better future together?
I want to order my heart to believe in it.
The guys are awesome! And each and every storyline is cool and complete. A rare example of a series in which almost nothing was leaked in the process, and the ending was definitely not leaked!
(I love Ben, of course, but the physiotherapist was really leaked just to insert a story with a professor, it's a pity)
P.S. but I'm still upset and I'm going to eat up all this sadness with all sorts of headlines and fanfiction about their he
Because I've been watching the series for three years, I finished it almost a year ago, and I still can't move on)
, a wonderful series, and I really regret not seeing it in my younger years, but at the same time it's a unique and amazing experience to watch it now when I can feel what it's like to be around an adult, what it's like to be an LGBT+ activist and try to cope with all these kind of adult problems.
I understand that the series began to be released at the very turn of the noughties and this is a huge breakthrough for that time, but damn, how strange it is to me that throughout the series the characters of queer as folk did not find out that bisexuality exists??
lindsay, who had a fleeting affair with that artist and as a student "stormy summer" with Brian? Actually, Brian himself? the character who was in love with Debbie after she said she no longer loved her husband (so she once did!)?
For some reason, for all these and other characters, their sexuality was bouncing between hetero and homo, I had no idea how stigmatized it used to be (?) bisexuality
Yes, the end is not what I expected, I wanted Justin and Brian to stay in place, but the authors let us come up with the end of this character ourselves, although I don't like it, but this is the best way out of this situation.
I will definitely review this series in the future and more than once.
On YouTube, there is an analysis of the final scene, where Brian looks at Justin, and he looks ahead to the future, everything is just beginning for him.
Many thanks to the creators for the realistic ending.
It's really cool, very mature and real.Full trust, full acceptance of the other with all the flaws..I envy them ❤❤❤❤❤
I have no doubt that they will be together all their lives.Every day, once a week or once a year - it doesn't matter.
we wrote a lot about wisdom above, raising important topics is not even discussed, which in our time we want more and with the right presentation)
definitely "Close friends" are among the top five favorite series, 10/10, I will review 200%, I am sure that I could have missed something the first time, after which-then I'll look at the scenes differently after a while))
, how I will miss them:(
