Edinburgh. The mother of a brutally murdered child cannot accept the fact that the killer served only 15 years, received a new identity and freedom. Trying hard to find him, she launches a series of dramatic events with unforeseen consequences.
A good, deep and touching story, with personal tragedies, with intrigue, with twists, deceptions and unexpected discoveries, with living heroes who evoke empathy and commit ambiguous deeds. With sufficient realism and logic, the plot made it possible to raise several serious, complex and very inconvenient issues - legal and, most importantly, ethical - perfectly accurately and in relief.
It was staged and filmed very qualitatively, the mise en scenes are plausible, the dialogues are authentic, even when they are extremely emotional. The installation is smooth and unhurried, sometimes it seems that it is slightly delayed. Some flashbacks were slightly confusing and, in my opinion, were not necessary at all, and their events could be served in a normal sequence without any damage to the development of history and the preservation of intrigue. They play wonderfully, extremely situationally correct, then quite restrained, then extremely powerful.
It turned out to be a good, smart, absolutely not entertaining, but quite fascinating series with a bitter and catchy story in an excellent acting performance.
Language. They speak naturally, sometimes quickly, sometimes difficult. Almost always with a very noticeable Scottish accent. I recommend subtitles.

Что то нападавшего никто особо и не ищет, как будто все забыли про него.
