The plot of the series revolves around a successful model (Anya Chistyakova), recruited into the cult of some "Primordial", led by the character of Philip Yankovsky. The model's parents hire specialists who kidnap her, take her to an abandoned cottage and treat her for addiction according to Roizman's methodology. The specialists reflect a little on the fact that the sectarians, they say, are truly happy, but they are not, but they still continue to fuck the sick with wet towels. Khodchenkova, in the role of a nurse, also has mixed feelings, since many years ago she escaped on D-day from a suicide sect, having flown from the local leader.
In addition to the purely conceptual, the "Sect" has more pressing problems. The main thing is an absolutely inappropriate flirtation with the possible "reality" of the mystical powers of the hero Yankovsky. The latter absolutely does not pull on the Russian Bhagwan, his maximum is a creep Kashpirovsky, and even then without a bare hairy male chest. The speech of the actors in the series is recorded as if from an ass, I don't know if the lack of high-quality equipment or skill soundtracks is to blame for this, but this is the scourge of modern Russian TV series. Эта серия хороша только тем, что по ней сейчас можно судить насколько сильно выросли российские сериалы за какие-то пару-тройку лет. Потому что в 2019 ещё было нормой показывать вот такие поделки с абсолютно мудацким монтажом, звуком, будто бы записанным на телефонный диктофон, картинкой, словно с телеканала "Россия 1", и, мягко говоря, странноватыми актёрскими работами (за Ходченкову с Янковским здесь прямо физически больно). Тема хорошая, интересная и многогранная, но исполнение просто убийственное. Как хорошо, что сейчас наши уже так не делают (ну или делают редко).
