"The way: Breaking Bad. The movie" (English El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie) is an upcoming criminal neo—western, which is a continuation of the TV series "Breaking Bad". The author of the series Vince Gilligan became the screenwriter, producer and director of the film. Aaron Paul reprises the role of Jesse Pinkman. The plot of the film focuses on what happened to Jesse after the events of the series finale.
Rumors about a feature film from the Breaking Bad universe have been circulating since the series finale in 2013. Gilligan suggested the idea of the film to Paul in 2017, closer to the anniversary of the release of Breaking Bad, and filming began in secret in New Mexico. Filming lasted almost 60 days. The project remained unconfirmed until August 2019, when Netflix released a trailer.
The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix, as well as in a limited release, on October 11, 2019, and later the film will be shown on the AMC channel.
Bl@#t, how glad I am that one of my favorite TV series, after 6 long years, is coming back again, even if it is a full-length... After all, this series does not let you forget about yourself and leaves a residue of unpleasant emotions in the soul of every viewer after watching the finale.Damn, I'm already waiting for when I can sit in front of the screen and contemplate this MASTERPIECE! Thank you, Gilligan, for giving me the opportunity to once again return to the atmosphere of "Bricking Troubles" 6 years ago.I hope the film lives up to its expectations...
I've already reviewed BB from the very beginning. I thought the second time would not be very interesting, the horseradish was there, sometimes stuck forgetting about sleep.
@kamikaze: Did the same thing, watched everything from season 1... and once again I am convinced that this is one of the best series. In short, we are waiting for: "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie"
Not bad, but I wanted to see the rest of the characters, for example. Sola or the Walt family. But in general, it was nice to remember the VgVa. Oh yeah, and what happened to Todd, why is he so fat?
@TaniaLesiuk: Sol can be seen in his own series, at the end of which his life after will be shown. Walt's family is still on the show. They moved into a small hut and live quietly. After Walter handed over the body coordinators from them and the cops will pull away, they already have a quiet life here, and then the money will fall to the son from that couple, in short, everything is fine there, nothing interesting. And Todd starred in the movie Black Mass just needed to get fat, then there was the second season of Fargo 2, where he decided that he also needed to be fat, well, that's it.
@illseethese: Well, let's assume that I took care of myself and lost weight. In general, it's true, they could have made Todd a remark, they say, I've picked up, but I'm going to lose weight, I've already found a method of losing weight, and in xx months I'll be slim (just in time for Walter's arrival) It would be fun, and in the spirit of the series, with his attention to detail) and then the viewer would have zero questions for his puck
Aaron is still a very good actor. I think he won't get lost in the Westworld caste. Here he is essentially the whole movie alone, and does not get lost at all, pulls the whole picture. And it's good that the character was given a normal ending and some kind of future, it's nice to see that sometimes you can start over. (They promised to show about Saul's life after the events (not only before) in his own series, so they didn't show it here, a conflict of interest, so to speak.) It's a good movie, it's rare when a full-length film on TV series is good, and it's good that they didn't do a whole season like they did with Veronica Mars, it wouldn't have been the same (after the movie Veronica Mars suddenly decided to do another season, and ruined everything and all the characters in general)
It's like meeting your close friend somewhere at the airport or train station, whom you haven't seen for a thousand years, and you have only a few minutes for the two of you, for which you want to say a lot, a lot of things. And so you stand there, smiling at each other, trying to talk at the same time, getting lost all the time, and then you realize that time has run out, and you, in fact, have not said anything. Then you hug awkwardly, briefly feeling the familiar warmth, and say goodbye again. Maybe forever. And you are left alone, with this tangible feeling of emptiness…
The film turned out to be these hugs for me: when at first it's warm, it's warm, and then suddenly it's somehow empty. And what to do with this feeling – go figure it out.
I was very glad to see such wise Mike, doubting Jane and fatherly Walt again. Brandon and Pete are just a joy throughout the movie. "You're like a hero to me" and that very hat, given as a parting gift, may be the only valuable thing that Pete had, because he always wore it only. It was as if he had given Jesse a piece of himself. I was very moved by this.
Jessie. Alaska. Peaceful life in the silence of the snows. He had come such a long, painfully hard way– it would have been enough for several lives full of suffering, deprivation and grief. He was always there, as if out of place, as if he didn't fit in: a kind man who was forced to do bad things. Now he has another chance. A chance to do exactly what he wants. And I believe that he will succeed.
@illseethese: He's more like someone we used to call a badass. The guy was initially not bad, even talented somewhere, but at some point he turned off the wrong track for some reason, not even out of spite, but out of stupidity and weak-willed. And this is not even an excuse, especially since such bad guys can mess up a lot of things, but they can't be written off, and it becomes a pity for them.
@Nog: fuck, the final dialogue with Jane actually explains what he was like, and what he became, far-fetched of course, but puts everything more or less.
@Meteora: I've been thinking for a long time what's wrong with this movie. I read this comment and realized that it really is like a farewell hug, which it's time to do, but I don't want to ... I just feel sorry for the parents who drove into an empty place and most likely will never know what really happened there
There is no one better than Gilligan. Only he can make half a movie without dialogues no less interesting than a portion with dialogues. A bigger budget and large-format cameras have brought a picture that is better than 99% of what is in cinemas. It looks awesome on a 70-inch screen. There were high expectations, but Vince did not disappoint. Aaron is a beauty.
Damn it, it was so nice to see them all! I wanted Jesse to get better so badly, after all the shit he'd seen. Aaron played at a high level, and these flashbacks showed how he turned from an ordinary kid who wanted to make easy money into a cold-blooded, uncompromising man. As it says on the poster, you can't run away from your past, that's what Jesse did, he just accepted everything and moved on, because there's no other way, the past is a part of you, it's what made you what you are now.
"You're really lucky, you know that? You didn't have to wait for your whole life to do something special.” - I admit, at this point my eyes became wet. It's been 6 years, and it's like I watched the last episode last week, no series has ever sat so tightly in my memory. He found the peace he deserved for a long time. Gilligan, Thank You!
I looked, and at the end I burst into tears... But the question is, where are the scenes that were in the teaser when Skinny was interrogated, such a horde of cops came after him, and it would be interesting to know what happened to him.
By the way, it's been six years. And Breaking Bad is still the best TV series I've watched. Now I'm getting high from Better Call Saul, Gilligan is just a master
Maybe a fan is talking in me, but how the fuck did I roll in... After watching the movie, I was finally released from the series. The plot is calm and measured, everything is simple and logical. There is no stupid action, the characters have kept their characters and there are as many of them as needed. Vince Gilligan is just a huge human thank you. Jesse deserved a finale like no other.
Of course, some actors have changed a lot and it's a pity there is no translation from the cube yet But the movie is still good, it's damn "Breaking Bad" 6 years and finally 🙏👏 Thanks
A worthy conclusion to the series. We have put all the dots. Jesse will start a new life. And Mr. White died after all. It was great to see familiar faces again after so many years.. It's nice that Heisenberg was shown and the girl Jesse (Kristen Ritter) I'm not talking about dead with his friend, Mike, and the vacuum cleaner salesman. Thanks to the authors for their help.
@marik78: how can you not remember the last episodes of the last season, which in fact are the culmination and denouement of the entire series and for which, in general, Breaking Bad is remembered as excellent years later.
And why retell what has already been filmed? This film should be perceived as season 6, an afterword. A complaint at the level of "I stopped watching the series "X" on season 3, and 5 years later, starting from the same place, I didn't understand anything"
@voltaire_freyr: I shouldn't perceive, I should understand what I'm looking at, not "perceive". This is a movie, not a season, and that's a fact.
THINK ABOUT IT, I don't remember what happened at the end because I watched the series 8 years ago. Besides breaking bad, I've watched a billion more TV shows, and I'll open your eyes, there are even cooler TV shows. Do you remember what you ate 1 year ago on the same day? That's the answer for you. If this is a continuation of the SERIES, there must be a backstory, because the film was created only for those who watched it.
@Ctixia: Are you suggesting that I watch 5 seasons again for 1 movie? Man, man, I'd rather watch another series than watch the same thing twice. It's not worth it. In addition, the creators needed to understand that a lot of time has passed since the last episode of the series and they need to somehow remind what's what. It would take Maxim 1 minute. By the way, what does anime have to do with it, the more funny it is to hear it from an animeshnik who has 6% of the watched TV series is anime and on ave anime XD. Dude, don't embarrass yourself.
@marik78: what is there to remember for a movie? It's hard to forget the ending of the series if you don't watch it with your left ear, you remember Jesse's friends from the movie Some events from the series do not manifest themselves so often here
@voltaire_freyr: It's very strange, but I'm watching the series for the third time and for some reason I remember everything except the last episodes. The last episodes fade out of my head for unknown reasons. Although they are very interesting
A whole movie about my beloved Jesse. What could be better. However, I had to cry in places again. I just walked away a little bit after the series finale. They turned my whole soul inside out. A good ending for Jessie. Thanks to the creators. He deserved it like no one else.
I'm not a fan of crime dramas at all. It is very rare when something strongly catches on. I even think I'll review the same series sometime.
It so happened that I started watching the series just now, I was delaying a beautiful picture so that after many years I could admire the acting and the amazing plot. With Breaking Bad, it turned out to be a rarity when expectations are high, and the series is even higher. 5 seasons have flown by and the final ending is on a single note, so I didn't even have time to turn around, but I already have sad feelings inside. I caught myself thinking that it could be compared to reading a cool book that you won't touch for at least a few years, and then walk for several days with great sadness. This is a rare feeling I experienced with Breaking Bad, and I will definitely review it. The meaning of my comment, in addition to feelings, is that this series perfectly shows the inside of a person in every social component and every idea of morality, where the key characters were shown. So, there is a reckoning for everything, but there is no justice, and when it comes, there is no time for doubt.
I watched it all over again, and El Camino. Still, it was a good ending for Jesse, I was happy to see him finally start a new life and leave everything behind. Alaska 💙
I reviewed BB because of season 6 of Sol (+ now I need to review 5 more seasons of Sol) and also captured El Camino naturally, the first time I treated it as an unremarkable especially movie, but the second time it seemed to play with new colors, not that it's some kind of stunning, but it's an excellent conclusion to the story, at least for those who throughout BB empathized with Jesse and hoped that after he left at the end of season 5, everything would finally be normal for him.
Thanks to the film, the story began to look complete! Jesse, as he dreamed, went to Alaska and everything is finally fine with him) Aaron played his character perfectly. It was nice to see the old gang and a couple more familiar faces. This is probably one of the few projects (Breaking Bad) in which everything is done perfectly from start to finish. After 6 years, make a film and do it in such a way that the viewer does not have the feeling that you are watching some separately filmed project. Only if the actors have changed a little) I think as a separate film, it might not be so interesting. Rather, it was created for BB fans
Excellent. It's just amazing! For the umpteenth time, I am writing words of gratitude to the actors, screenwriters and all the people involved in this series. Standing ovation 👏
The ending struck a stingy tear. There are no words! An emotionally difficult series.
It's unclear why Gillian decided to name the entire movie after Todd's car. Jesse got rid of her pretty quickly.
It was nice to see. I was lucky enough to do this right after watching the series, which I am delighted with (to put it mildly).
The film was made perfectly, even despite the changes in the appearance of the actors, which catches the eye.
It wasn't enough. A lot of fanservice. I didn't notice any new ideas for the series. All in all, Jesse's life was surprisingly smooth and easy. It seems that in the series the obstacles were overcome more difficult).
That is, it is a very good job, but without a twist. There is no drama and catharsis of season 5.
I do not share the enthusiasm, alas. A passing feature film, clearly not the level of the series. Some actors have changed a lot in appearance, especially Todd. They could have made up or changed it on the computer
This, of course, does not affect the quality of the film, but the moment with the dead housekeeper was distorted. When Jesse sees her, she's already all blue, that is, she's lying there, well, obviously not for a couple of minutes, at least an hour or more (considering that Todd killed her, managed to go after Jesse, smoke a cigarette with him and return back to the apartment). And never in such plots do corpses start, I'm sorry, shitting. They lie clean, keep their sphincters in good shape for the sake of the beauty of the frame. There's apparently no smell, no hint of postmortem defecation — Todd didn't even lose his appetite, he started cooking lunch a meter from the body. The only works where this moment was played out are season 5 of AIU and the game Disco Elysium. In other stories, all corpses always have empty intestines and bladders. Apparently they do enemas every morning.
It's a shame that Jesse remembers not Andrei, the victim of gang violence, but Jane, the drug addict who got him hooked on heroin. Well, shtosh, as Uncle Jack said, you can't order your heart. And throwing thoughtful quotes is more in her style than Andrei's.

And why retell what has already been filmed? This film should be perceived as season 6, an afterword. A complaint at the level of "I stopped watching the series "X" on season 3, and 5 years later, starting from the same place, I didn't understand anything"
Some events from the series do not manifest themselves so often here
A good ending for Jessie. Thanks to the creators. He deserved it like no one else.
I'm not a fan of crime dramas at all. It is very rare when something strongly catches on. I even think I'll review the same series sometime.
Which is also a masterpiece.
Aaron played his character perfectly. It was nice to see the old gang and a couple more familiar faces.
This is probably one of the few projects (Breaking Bad) in which everything is done perfectly from start to finish. After 6 years, make a film and do it in such a way that the viewer does not have the feeling that you are watching some separately filmed project. Only if the actors have changed a little)
I think as a separate film, it might not be so interesting. Rather, it was created for BB fans
For the umpteenth time, I am writing words of gratitude to the actors, screenwriters and all the people involved in this series. Standing ovation 👏
The ending struck a stingy tear. There are no words! An emotionally difficult series.
Jesse's fans should especially like it)
In addition, el camino means "the way" in Spanish, so we will see the path or the end of the character's path.
