This is one of the best anime this year! Incredible change and formation of heroes at the beginning and at the end of the season. Askelad is the most charismatic and interesting hero for me. He left so beautifully, on his own rules, as he himself wished, and also said such important words to Torfin. I think Torfin was like a son to Askelad, and perhaps, although very unlikely, Torfin could also think of him for a moment as a second father. A very sad moment with a farewell. I really liked their relationship. At the end, it was nice to see the characters that will appear in the new seasons. I'm really looking forward to their meeting with Torfin in the anime! I hope it will be continued next year, and not in a few years.
Still yes. If you didn't have time to watch something with everyone, then you can't dodge spoilers. The only exception is very few interesting series. 😓
@BrutalDED69: on the one hand, shitting Vikings after Ragnar's death is a classic, like shitting the SPN after season 5, but on the other, in fact, the seasons about Ragnar's children are pretty good, and the ending there is decent, that of Bjorn, that of Ivar, that of Ubbe and Alfred (the son is not Ragnar, but), I thought about it a lot while watching the anime. But the season in which Ragnar dies is really weak.
And what is the interest in watching it further? Merged the main and best character for me. I have no complaints about how they did it, but to look further at that screaming boy who has not a single adequate speech for the season is such a pleasure.
@reverse_furion: And what is better to pull the last juices out of the character before the final loss of interest in the viewer? So there are a car and a small cart of such series, see how much the soul desires. Here, the plot is competently constructed to measure at the peak of the character's popularity. There would be more of this in our time. Well, for those who watch the series for the sake of a particular character, it may not make sense to continue watching, although I think the authors will find something to hook even such an audience.
@reverse_furion: I'm watching the first season now and it's very funny to compare your comment on the first and second season. So the second one is really good)
@Gromimolnia: I've watched the first and second seasons for a long time. The second season has a completely different dynamic and not everyone may like it. I liked it, I can see the development of the hero
For those who just [like me at first] did not understand the ending - all the events of the first season are a PROLOGUE to the main events of the anime.
After the 23rd episode and the studio's departure, I was very worried about whether they would merge the finale and whether it would be as dynamic and emotional. And we managed to do everything perfectly and correctly. I also really liked how they "teaser" the characters of the following arches into the series. Manga 10/10. Anime 10/10. I highly recommend it to everyone. We are waiting for the continuation.
I notice that as soon as in some anime the main characters are not children (and in the first season, in fact, GG was Askeladd), then such anime almost always succeeds. But 99.9% of Japanese studios continue to rivet anime with snotty, screaming children at random... And in the end, they almost always fail.
@Oks100: Well, senen is aimed primarily at teenage boys, so it's not surprising that the characters are usually young guys, it's necessary for the viewer/reader to associate themselves with someone
@yelinna: although okay, I'm still wrong - after looking further, I realize that this is still seinen (anime for men 18 and older) But the hero grows up, grows and develops, so that over time he also gets older, closer to the audience for which the series is designed
Great anime. You can start reading manga. It's a pity it hasn't ended yet. The minus of the entire serial manga is that they come out endlessly. When will the Berserk end? Guyver? Historie? Dorohedoro? Eh. The anime will catch up and overtake the manga and you will have to invent your own ending. It usually doesn't end well. We will watch and hope for the best.
Oh, how can you make such an awesome series and not announce a sequel? Anime, of course, is not for a wide audience, but I really hope that it will not be delayed with the sequel.
Askellad, you son of a bitch, how beautifully you played the final (ノ&。。) Torfin's relationship with Askellad is such a strange thing...but it was interesting to watch) As a result: Askellad himself created a life goal for Torfin and at the end of the season destroys it, giving the guy a new meaning to go forward!
It's a great anime, it's very strange that I haven't seen it many places, but I'm glad that I finally got around to watching it. the penultimate episodes seemed pretty boring, but the finale saved everything :> askeladd liked it the most, seiya played his part too. I somehow paid little attention to Thorfinn's rabies, in my opinion, his behavior is very justified by childhood injuries and age. I'm waiting for the sequel!
An excellent film adaptation of one of the strongest titles. The case when, in general, manga and anima have approximate parity. On paper, the Farm and the Baltic have long been ready, waiting for two more fucking great arches on the screen.
Wit great fellows, the series came out great, now I will definitely read the manga and I feel it will become one of my favorites. I don't even know what I liked the most, everything is perfectly balanced, but I note that the backgrounds and sound are just amazing, the fucking first OP (with such a powerful tear) smeared me in snot, like all the series with a Torso.
Wow. A great title, thanks to the manga for the plot, the Wits for the graphics, the groups for the opening endings and in general. Of course, it wasn't without rough edges, but everything is so solid and cool that somehow I don't want to talk about the cons. And what are the disadvantages when there is such an Askeladd and such a finale. It was read in advance - the phrase that "it will have to be done openly and sacrifice the instigator", his constant reminders about his age and that he "will not live to see it", but this is exactly the case when you already know what will happen, but it is important how. How beautiful it was, and very much in his manner, to come out victorious even in the fight that he lost. To save his country and his king, to die in battle, finally to insert the brains of a bored kid, whom, I'm sure, Askeladd loved in his own way. After all, he didn't kill him, although he could have, let hatred forge his character, kept him to himself, taught him how he could. And finally kicked into a new life, reminding that Thorfinn really didn't think about anything but revenge. And Thorfinn's reaction, I think, is far from just disappointment at the revenge that never happened. Yes, Thorfinn made Askeladd's death the goal of his life, but for so many years, I think this dream has become something so familiar to him that he did not believe that it would come true. He was used to it always being like this, he and Askeladd would go somewhere, he would force Thorfinn to do something, offering a duel as payment, Thorfinn would agree, but through his lip, because "I don't obey you", and this life was already so familiar that the boy and He became attached to her and Askeladd in his own way. It reminded me of a moment from BSD - when gg was in shock because of the death of a man who broke and saved his life in his own way, and did not know what to do, Dazai said that usually people cry when their father dies. So Thorfinn cried for everything at once - for his unrequited Torso, for his unfulfilled goal, and for the person who helped him achieve this goal. And he wanted to take revenge on Knud not only for his revenge, but also for Askeladd himself.
In general, if this is all just a prologue, I'm terribly curious what's next. It is a pity that while silence and continuation are not expected, we will have to go to the manga. Although Bleach taught us to wait against all odds, and here much less time has passed. Maybe Vit will come back to this story after all. Well, or someone will catch it. Anyway, it's cool.
Very cool anime. Without unnecessary vulgarity, there is blood and when cutting off the head, the picture does not change to blood splashes, but shows the real severing of the head. A cool plot and that's it, that's it, that's it, but fuck, why do that and not release a sequel. Well, I don't want to read manga, I want to contemplate)
In general, the series did not meet expectations, I watched it solely out of curiosity about how it would end. It was possible to shoot 12 episodes and would not have been worth it at all.
Askelad turned out to be an extremely lively, interesting and complex character. Yes, extremely controversial, with some good sides, a lot of bad deeds, a tragic past. But he is head and shoulders above everyone else in this regard, including G.G.
I don't know how the author brought the plot further, but it will be extremely difficult to surpass this arch
Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that one could shed tears over Askelad's death) An amazing antihero! Now it is very interesting to see what new meanings will fill Thorfinn after the loss of the only goal he lived for. In recent episodes, the contrast with other characters (consistently cool or recently upgraded aka Knud) was simply egregious, it's time for this boy to grow up from just one story about revenge 🚀 The series is very cool, bravo 👏
The end of the season is gorgeous, the season itself is gorgeous, now 10 episodes of the 2nd season have been released, it's not worth watching, it's been leaked...
