If you're still thinking about whether to watch this series or not, then I'll say watch it.
There are many reasons.
To begin with, there is a very handsome main character. In his uniform, he conquers the hearts of all Chicago girls and old ladies, children and tourists like him, and his outfit is even parodied in establishments where they love latex and whips.
But his image would not be complete if he did not have a four-legged friend with him, which immediately gives several stars and pluses to the entire series "Strictly South." For me, Benton Fraser was among the top beauties in uniform, in the same folder with Captain Jack Harkness from Torchwood.

I watched "Due South" as a kid on TV, and thank all the gods that the Internet sometimes allows you to find such wonderful things like this.

The main character's partner is a funny Italian with a typical set - a crazy family, an interesting view of the world and Chicago in particular, a slightly frivolous attitude to work, and a great sense of humor. A little stubbornness, funny jackets and shirts, and a fancy car to boot-this is the man Beni Fraser needed.
It won't be a spoiler if I say that these two worked together almost immediately, without much rubbing against each other, which is now so popular in modern TV series, sometimes artificially stretching such a line. Immediately, the viewer gets lucky - it's immediately clear that Roy and Beni will make a splash in Chicago.

Speaking of Chicago. This is one of the reasons why it is worth watching or reviewing the series now. We had it in the nineties, when they filmed a lot of shows about the windy city, for example, the same Ambulance. and then there was a lull for several years, until Dick Wolf's Chicago series returned. And in "Strictly South" in those years, they did a great job filming the city that I love so much, and many more TV series fans. Great views, chase scenes and the mood of the streets - I love it very much. By the way, filming in Yukon, Canada and other snowy places is no less wonderful, although there are very few of them.

If you know movie stars well, or just remember faces or names well, then you'll love it here. Only in the first season can you notice the still young Philip Ryan, the not-yet-old Leslie Nielsen, the beautiful trickster Madeline Smith-Osborne from "If Tomorrow Comes", by the way, I highly recommend it, you will easily recognize and smile at the sight of the young Mark Ruffalo... There are too many stars in this series to count! some are already, and some are about to become.

In general, your choice is to watch or not, but if you like investigations flavored with excellent light humor, and also remember that spirit of the nineties, you should go south.

Childhood TV series. the only thing I remember is Fraser trying shit from the ground (to look at the windows) and Ray trying to reach Fraser at the post. and all this is already in episode 1.

I watch the Dick Wolf series about Chicago. I couldn't figure out who Matthew Casey from Chicago Fire reminded me of in 2012.? And finally, it came to Constable Benton Fraser from Due South. And how great it is that now you can review everything you want at any suitable time, and not what is shown on a TV program, as before.
It felt so good from the family faces – pleasant Fraser, Ray Vecchio's snorkel, Dufa's muzzle, this money from his hat, it was just as warm and healthy as when my grandmother was a child with sweets.
I spammed the Jay Semko screensaver, downloaded it to the mobile, how simple and easy we are now living in 28 years. But my daughter wasn't interested at all, she couldn't attract me in any way, and I was delighted with Fraser.
