The plot is somehow fragmentary to the viewer; characters are introduced, for example, Mifune (Kaguya's friend from school), shown a couple of times and scored, then shown for three seconds and that's it. And okay, there would have been a series for 20+ episodes, but this is already episode 8 out of 13 planned. It has already been said several times that the ship crashed in the forest and therefore it is necessary to look for tokens there, why repeat this several times? I don't know how it is in the manga — I haven't read it, but the series itself (the film adaptation) is not happy yet.

@edzillo: I think it's about who he's fighting. That's probably why she gave Kaguya the power.
As it has been shown, his ability allows him to unite with those who climb into him, thus a metamorphosis occurs. If gg and Elena joined forces, one can only imagine what kind of power they would have.
