I was hoping for the best, but alas. The original turned out to be much more atmospheric. The main character in this version... usual. There is no charm that came from the phrase "Saga Noren, detective of the Malmo police."

The twofold feeling of watching.
On the plus side, there is an atmosphere of its own, some features characteristic of these countries.

Of the cons... The main characters are trying to make copies of Saga and Martin. Well, why? Was it possible to make your own raisins? It's just that the copies look cheap. The Saga will remain a Saga. It cannot be repeated.

@oliverwilde: Well, why not. There are good adaptations of the originals. For example, the same "Don't Be Born Beautiful" is an adaptation of the Colombian "Yo soy Betty, la fea". And the series don't copy each other almost verbatim. Just like the American "Ugly Betty" - an adaptation, but absolutely wonderful in itself.

It was enough for six episodes. I sent it to the furnace. Compared to the original, it looks faded and boring. The clone of the Saga — Sonya — is not at all. In a bad way.
If you watch *this*, then only in front of the original, but it's better not to watch at all — just waste time.
I intended to watch the "Tunnel" as well, but I read a couple of comments saying that it was even worse than *this*, and abandoned the idea altogether.

I watch all 4 versions of one episode, starting with the Russian Bridge and ending with the Tunnel. The original, of course, is cooler in acting. But the American one differs favorably from all of them. And Dapkunayte, unexpectedly, is the most terrible of all.

I agree! Sonya seems to be trying to seem "different", but it comes out badly and flat. But Marco looks quite like an independent character without trying to copy the original.

Guys, for those who haven't watched the Scandinavian original, watch the Scandinavian original, period!

I love FX series, but this is a complete blunder.
They copied it in vain, the original catches on from the first episode, and this one is not in one eye at all... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

An interesting cool series, I advise you to take a look. "The original" on the contrary, did not go very far.
