And Jim's (and Claire's and Tobby's) skill in Trollhunters grew gradually, which was interesting to watch.

And the antagonists here are strange.
Who are all these people?
What do they want?
It's not very clear. It's just evil evil in cool villainous costumes and they want the apocalypse.
Why would they want him? I don't know, maybe they're just bored.

No, I'm not saying that Ganmar and this alien dude from the second part (I forgot the name) also had some kind of super-original motivation, but at least there were interesting secondary villains, and here everything is kind of boring and about nothing. Even a cat doesn't save (what? Yes!)! And there are almost no jokes.

In general, I'm not very happy.
And yes, if it was a separate series on its own, then I might have started and quit. And because the previous parts were dear to me, I watched this part in its entirety, without ceasing to compare with the previous two, and the comparison is by no means in favor of the third.

In general, there is one simple rule that is constantly violated for some reason. No need to visualize the legends. That's why they're legends, to give food to the imagination. And where imagination is at work, animation artists have nothing to catch.
