It was nice to see old Stabler, but I hoped that this spinoff would be no worse than Criminal Intent and Trial by Jury. But for the first two series, it pulls only 2 out of 5.: formulaic and burdensome. I don't even know if it's worth looking further. It will be strange if they extend it for a second season.

I like that the series touches on topical topics.
