Every encounter in the series is shocking in its madness. There are wildlings, fanatics, and just sadists. This post-apocalypse stands out from everything I've watched. It's incredibly beautifully shot, but it's so crazy.. unclear. The feelings are ambiguous.
I really liked the ending! no explanation is needed — everything is clear enough. I am very glad for a good ending, although I usually like it to be painful and sad, but here I really wanted everything to be good for the guys!
So the children brought the virus to the floating station. All the adults will die. A couple of months and kirdyk. And the children will go to the shore in a boat... A chance for season 2.

The ending has been changed compared to the book one, but it has already been written correctly. It's not a happy ending. Unless it turns out that these people are not susceptible to the virus for some reason. But then they would hardly be hanging out at sea with a supply of food for years.
@MelamoriBlimm: I think that the crew at such a station should be about 100-200 workers, so I think these are the survivors of the crew who are not susceptible to infection, the fact that there are products for years, so it is always in such inaccessible bases that a stock is laid. I wonder why the writers in each episode show how Anna makes banal mistakes, despite the fact that she raised her younger brother, she should be smarter than adults, but she did not tie the boat when they came to the station...

Сериал красивый, но сценарий словно написан такими же Анной и Пьетро. Такая себе постап-сказка. Мотивация персонажей, причины, мотивы не раскрываются. Зато куча роялей в кустах.
Почему Пьетро спас Анну, но не пошел с ней дальше? Как Астор нашел путь из той middle of nowhere домой? Почему здоровая тетка Катя не могла отбиться от малолетней Анжелики?
Несмотря на эти вопросы, потраченного на сериал времени мне не жаль.
