Damn, the series didn't seem very finished to me, did it?
For some reason, until the last moment, I thought that Lena, drunk, got behind the wheel and hit the boy, and George just helped get rid of the evidence (the car) and deflect suspicion from her (by specifically making an alibi for her with a wound on her forehead that she allegedly hit when the collision occurred).

It's a no-brainer series. The detective line, as if it had come out to the criminal, does not stand up to any criticism, Sherlock Holmes nervously smokes on the sidelines.
The police are impotent and idiots.
The psychological line of how an unknown, impetuous woman penetrates into someone else's family, behaves strangely and sniffs out everything everywhere, not particularly hiding, and it doesn't seem suspicious to any of them for most of the season - well, it's like that too.
