Is there a result of the story with Zhenya at all? What did the series go to in the end? Watch a movie ?
It was so creepy to me the first episodes of the series and in the end NOTHING.
The classics of Russian TV series are a good start, but they didn't come up with an end.

Well, actually, like all Russian TV series, they started for health and finished em... dushnina. I didn't see the point in this series, it would have been better not to release a film, but another series with a logical ending.

Quite well. The plot keeps in suspense, the actors look very organic. The end is suitable both for the completion of the entire series (a kind of slight understatement), and for the groundwork for the second season (if the characters continue to dig in this direction, like there is still something to explore)

Disappointment is the only thing that can be said in the end. The series keeps in suspense, interesting storylines, mysticism... and what a finale. Episode 8 is a movie about a movie, not a season/series finale.
It's a pity that the ending was so messed up without bringing all the storylines to a logical conclusion

We wanted to create a dark, frightening atmosphere in the style of the best mystical thrillers...but alas, it turned out very gray and unsightly. They could have filmed much better, especially since the TV3 channel, turned on this topic, was engaged in the project. They twisted the plot so that they could not unravel it themselves, there was a complete feeling that the finale was written in a hurry. I don't think we should wait for the second season. Although the idea is great, saleable, and the main character Aristarchus Venes looked very organic.

"I begot you, I will kill you" is a quote that perfectly describes the work of screenwriters. and what do we get in the end? - thanks for a good series, but, perhaps... the first season should be limited.
