s01e06 — Episode 6

The series is not a masterpiece, but as a lover of English detective stories, I liked it. The only thing that irritated was the constant feeling of some kind of understatement, the fragility of the plot, as if we should know about something, but we were not told about it. Criminal cases do not go as the main plot line, but as a background, and on the surface Professor Wolf and his mental problems, family, etc.

First of all, this is a series about Professor Wolf and his problems with his family, psyche, and inner demons. In the second place, there is an investigation of cases, and these "cases" still sag compared to the storyline about Wolfe's life. The series has potential and perhaps, in the sequel, if there is one, it will be possible to find a balance between Wolfe's life and the investigation of cases. In general, if you do not expect something sky-high from the series, it is quite possible to watch it.

Was the series planned as a comedy sketch for "Luther"? In any case, it turned out to be average. The cases seem to be nothing, but the investigations themselves are very schematic and somehow divorced from the personality of the character, as if different people wrote the detective and dramatic-personal parts of the episodes. As a result, both components suffered in interest.

P.S. I don't know why, but from the very first episode it seemed to me that this whole team of Wolfe was invented by himself and was in his head like multiple personalities in "Legion" or "Split". Almost all of his phrases addressed to them were with some kind of sub-twist, as if gg knows much more than the viewer.

I liked it, more because of the characters and the relationship between them than because of the cases shown. If there is a second season, I will watch it with pleasure.

I've been thinking for two episodes that maybe the daughter killed her brother in some way, but it's not clear why they didn't immediately consider this version, three people are three likely killers.

It is very similar to "Bones", but it looks less diligent. I hope it will accelerate better by the second season.

how Adam Long, playing Steve, looks like Max Wolf from the Gossip Girl remake. In my opinion, even the voice acting is the same!!
