What a great season! A variety of storylines, developing consistently and logically! Of course, there will always be small joints, but they are almost invisible against the background of what is happening. Magnum is finally a private detective working with Gordy. This season Katsumoto is handsome: always in the right place at the right time (well, as far as the project allows) and always a professional. I feel like Ricky's new old friend will bring more than one complicated twist to the plot, and it will be interesting to watch. And how the Higgy line is good: both intrigue, and danger, and omissions with a Magnum, from which you can make a candy when all the circumstances are clarified))) Just don't overdo it with the number of special agents per square centimeter. The characters feel like a team, but at the same time, everyone reveals themselves more than ever - both from an emotional point of view and from a principled point of view, plus they relate to the past with a bonus. Everyone is individual, interesting, and a really important part of the whole.
Probably the best episode of all time. I don't know if it was an inner feeling or something else, but as soon as I finished working and decided I needed to watch something, Magnum immediately came to mind, and this is despite the fact that I had episodes of FBI and NCIS: Hawaii that came out earlier and usually I always watch their priority. The series is gorgeous for everyone: Magnum at the head of the investigation, Rick's mysterious friend, Higgins and her future problems. I hope that Magnum will find out about Higgins' situation in the next 1-2 episodes, that's when he won't be able to break away from the series)
I love it when there's a Seamy in the series.
Also, was I the only one who thought that the FBI agent looked like the actor who played the main antagonist in Hawaii 5.0? I guess I just missed them)
@MrsSvetlana: Yancy Arias, who plays an FBI agent, does look a little like Wo Fat, although he has Colombian and Puerto Rican roots, and Mark Dacascos is a native Hawaiian.
The series is very cool, after all, Jay Hernandez is good in any image, when he was sitting on a pedicure, I already admired how beautiful his legs are))))
In general, of course, the series turned out to be one of the most profound, but everything is not always cloudless for them. I hope Robbie turns out to be good. And I also hope that Higgie will tell Thomas everything soon, she knows that she can rely on him, why doesn't she say anything? Maybe she's trying to protect him like that?
@Annie10792: He's trying to protect himself, and old spy habits are taking their toll. But if a dossier was leaked on Higgy, then Magnum can also be given away, especially due to ignorance of the situation and the innate ability to find himself in such situations.
I love Marsha Thomason, but she's even too cold a British lady here.
I always like these lingering shots in the series, when the characters look at the "result of their actions." How they smiled this time, watching a happy mother with a baby. When you fully understand that everything is not in vain.
Back in Hawaii, it became clear that you don't just leave Chicago for the islands, a dark story is bound to come up. Lou Grover had one too. Dark, difficult, and with far-reaching consequences. That's Chicago)
Magnum will soon get bored if Higgy continues to disappear for so long, carrying out secret missions, and he will definitely climb into hell to find out and try to protect her.
It was nice to see two actors from Bosch in this episode at once. Yancey Arias, Mayor Ramos and Wilmer Calderon, Detective Arias. I knew that Higgy's debt to the lady agent would not be limited to a couple of assignments. She's being dragged into something very dangerous. And Magnum begins to suspect.
