It was very interesting to see those who stayed in Japan after the Second World War! Noah's story really wasn't enough! The clock has passed through time!
What an interesting, wonderful and very sad story.. Sonja, as the personification of all these strong women who were shown to us at the end... Of course, there are many questions left, but the main point remains clear... Given the current situation, the feelings and emotions of the heroes were felt much more keenly...
A wonderful drama, it's probably not worth hoping for season 2, although it would be interesting to see the story of Noah, and everyone else. Song Ja is an incredibly strong character, go through a lot and don't lose heart. Thanks to the creators for the lovely women in the finale, their smiles and memories are priceless
A very high-quality thing! When they added real stories of women, it really touched the heart. Once again, the history between Japan and Korea now more than ever echoes the ongoing war. And who knew that I would understand this topic so well now (
I am very glad that there will be a second season!
Thanks to this drama for opening such an important page in history. There has always been interest in the relations between Korea and Japan, and during the occupation and WW2 so especially. After all, this is primarily about people. How they lived, what they lived, what their names were, what their dreams and traditions were. We are like that too, we are no different from them in our aspirations in life, except through the prism of our cultures and mentalities. But in the end, we'll still say, like that grandmother showing the album, "I was so young. And now it's like a dream. It was a dream."
If you are interested in reading about the women of the last century, then I recommend a book-a collection of front-line stories from Soviet women who fought in the Second World War. "The war does not have a woman's face," by the Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich.
Yes. In addition, they raped both their Soviet women in the army and women in the former occupied territories, but as a rule, no one will tell us about this, except the women themselves from that time. It would be nice to also find something about the "comfort stations" in Korea and the circle of hell of the female share in WW2 would become clearer than ever.
Where did you even see a word about it? They came up with it themselves, they themselves were offended. No one protected the Germans, we wrote that men are the same everywhere
After the series, I understand that the history that I studied at school, and then myself, is mainly focused on European civilization, and Asia, eastern countries, Africa remain something exotic and incomprehensible. I didn't know at all that Japan had occupied Korea. Thanks to such series, after which I want to delve into the question, history and the past. And I'm also really looking forward to the second season. The actors are all very beautiful and play beautifully.
An incredibly strong series, so many vital things were shown... I will definitely add reading the book to my plans. The acting is incredible. The end made me feel sad. I'm looking forward to the next season to immerse myself in this atmosphere again
Oh, the final moments with real grandmothers are just tearful. Good health to them, long life and happiness! ❤️❤️❤️ And the moment with Hana is also strong. Also to tears. A terrible death. But a good one. Surrounded by the most loved ones. At the moment of a dream come true... I hope the second season will not take long to wait!
I don't understand the general enthusiasm about the drama. The first couple of episodes were lively, interesting, I watched the last one 3 months after the release ... Globally, of course, an interesting topic, not widely covered, poor women, their military and post-war life. Sonja is an incredibly strong woman, she did not break down, but raised excellent sons and a grandson. I would like to hear the story of Noah, more about the hero MinHo too, whether he helped his son somehow or just talked once and that's it... The music was great in the drama!
I burst into tears at a moment with real grandmothers. Two expressions were especially touching: "it was the best time, because they were alive" and "... a sunny smile...I know you were terribly bored, but thank you for listening." I am very grateful to the series for learning a piece of the history of Korea and Japan
It's a great series! each episode evoked a lot of emotions, the actors played great, the script and direction were great. the only pity is that the season ended in mid-sentence. now it remains to wait for the continuation))
